Wo Long: Fallen Dynastyis basically Nioh, but with a clunky version ofSekiro’sdeflecting mechanic. Even the prologue is déjà vu, ending with a pushover boss who hides a much harder second phase, transforming into a twisted, demonic monster who destroys your divine beast and sends you squirming back to square one. Granted, I like Nioh and Sekiro. Put the two together and I’ll probably have a good time, and I suppose I did here in parts — I’m a sucker for Soulslikes, and all the basics are here in Wo Long....

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is getting dogpiled online, and it’s easy to see why. After the poorly-received Gotham Knights and the long, slow death of Marvel’s Avengers, no one is excited to see an always-online structure, live-service elements, and RPG mechanics jammed into a superhero game. It reeks of the kind of executive-mandated game design that satisfies all of the checkboxes on a marketing team’s spreadsheet.
