The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis now less than a month away. It’s not easy creating a sequel to a game that changed the standard for open world games, but if there’s one company that can do it, it’s Nintendo. Based on what we’ve seen in the trailers, Tears of the Kingdom will feature the same map as Breath of the Wild, but a lot has changed in Hyrule.

Fans have been trying to figure out what’s going on – there aretheories about time travel, what old characters are up to, and thedungeons in the game. However, the biggest mystery by far isthe floating islands above the mainland. Nintendo has been coy about them, but consequent leaks have revealed that Link will start his adventure on one of these islands.

This has got fans who’ve played Breath of the Wild discussing where they’ll first aim to land after jumping off the island. In BotW, Link has the freedom to go absolutely anywhere after waking up – including directly to take on Calamity Ganon. We can assume that TotK will do the same, allowing us to revisit our favourite spots from the previous game.

“I kind of want to see if they’ve done something with The Forgotten Temple. That place has a real draw for me for some reason,” said ThePotatoOfTime.

SSJAncientBeing agreed, saying, “Considering there seems to be more than a few elements to Skyward Sword from what we’ve seen, between the Sky Islands, that scene with Ganondorf looking vaguely like Demise, and that theory of Hylia returning, seeing the Forgotten Temple being a central point just seems natural.”

“I’m going to retrace the steps I took in BotW,” mentioned HylianTomOnReddit. “I’ll drop down to Proxim Bridge, walk through the Dueling Peaks past the stable, and then on to Kakariko. In Kakariko, I’ll visit with Impa (I figure she might have good info for me), and I’ll see if Claree’s armor shop is still open.”

There were a lot of comments mentioning that they wanted to go straight to Tarrey Town. In Breath of the Wild, Tarrey Town is part of a long side quest, with multiple objectives. Link is given several tasks which lead to setting up and developing the entire town and community. It’s understandable that players want to go back and check on a town that they helped build.

One of the new features that fans will love to experiment with in Tears of the Kingdom is the fusion system. Link will be able tofuse two separate weapons into an unconventional weapon, with qualities of both. The trailers have revealed Link crafting elemental arrows, and a ridiculously long spear. In the latest trailer, we saw alongsword fused with a shieldto give him the ability to parry.
