Thankfully, good things can still happen in this universe as long as you make it so. There are some quests that make Night City a slightly warmer place to be if you seek them out. Who says dystopias have to be seedy moral complexities 100 percent of the time?

Spoiler Alert: Some of these quests are dependent on major plot points being finished, so there are minor spoilers ahead for those who aren’t done with Act 1.

8Give Change To The Homeless

Night City isa gigantic cityrife with disaster, with crimes around every corner and homeless people not receiving support despite the tech and progression of the time. Even veterans who have served end up a significant part of the homeless population.

While everyone else seemingly ignores these individuals, you can choose to give a few eddies. It’s not much but it is a distinct act of kindness in a world that otherwise asks you to gun down and hack your way through it all.

7Comfort Those Left Behind By A Dear Friend

It’s easy to feel attached to Jackie Welles as you spend time together doing missions and chilling in bars, making his loss an impactful and heartbreaking moment in the game. You can choose to celebrate his life with his family if you send his remains to his mother.

It’s a good way to pay tribute to his memory, comfort his mother, and even help Misty find some closure. It also feels like the best route that doesn’t make his sacrifice feel as wasteful. The ending of the Heroes quest even sees you potentially inheriting his motorcycle, so it’s a heartwarming bookend to a rough tale.

Giving a stray a home is always a wholesome endeavor, and it’s even more so when you’re giving a cat shelter from the particularly rough streets of Night City. Get the data shard that asks you to “feed teh Cat,” and you’ll get the opportunity to leave some food out for Nibbles the Sphynx.

5Offer Aid To A Man With Depression

It’s always interestingwhen games deal with mental health, and Cyberpunk 2077 does this in many (sometimes clunky) ways. One particular instance is with your neighbor, Barry. He has slowly become a recluse as he deals with grief and depression.

This quest, named Happy Together, can take a very dark turn if you’re not mindful. The good news is that you can choose to give Barry the support he needs and help him reach out to the people that care about him. In an uncaring dystopia, it’s nice to be able to make someone feel better.

4Rescue And Allow Lucy To Do Her Work

In the gig Hippocratic Oath, you are tasked with rescuing Lucy Thackery. She’s a dedicated ripperdoc who actually cares about saving people and making their lives better. As she has been kept captive by the Maelstrom gang, it’s up to you set her free.

You can take more than one route to finish this gig, but neither is free of guns and hacking. Although that may not inherently feel like a wholesome thing to do, you’d do a lot of good helping out a good ripperdoc. More than that, you can also allow her to finish one more life-saving surgery in the name of the Hippocratic Oath, even if the dude on the table doesn’t seem like he deserves the help.

Yes, the questline is called Psycho Killer. This is really just a cool nod to a rad song, though. More often than not, you find out that these individuals have simply become victims of the corrupt system that has implanted the cyberpsychosis within them in the first place. Instead of being another part of the death toll, you’re able to help them get treatment and potentially contribute to research on cyberpsychosis.

2Meditate With A Zen Master

It’s tough finding a moment to slow down and appreciate everything when you’re living in a fast-paced world full of indescribable tech and overstimulation. This is why it’s such a nice reprieve when you get to spend time with the mysterious zen master that wanders Night City in the most peculiar spots. Every time you find him, he instructs you through a braindance that lets you bask in the elements.

you’re able to choose to pay him for his time, too. Whether or not you shell out the eddies, though, you get to bask in some tranquility with a pretty decent dude that just wants you to be one with the universe.

1Let The Kids Win

If you follow through and help River Ward completely during his quest line, you will gain access to the quest Following The River. The whole family dinner moment is already wholesome enough on its own, with everybody spending time with each other over a nice meal. You even help out a little during the cooking process.

If you really want to be the ultimate wholesome V, you can join the kids in playing their favorite AR shooter and, brace yourself, lose on purpose. It takes a lot to swallow your ego and let children enjoy themselves instead of showing off and telling them to get good. There’s always a bad guy out there that really deserves your top-tier aim.
