Treasure Hunt: X Marks The Spot lets you return to this tradition, with Geralt finding a poorly-drawn map by a lake in Ard Skellig that brings him to a concealed chest. If you are looking for a few valuable items to sell, we’ll show you where to find the map and bring you to the promised goods.
Where To Start Treasure Hunt: X Marks The Spot
The map starting the quest is locatedin the center of Ard Skellig, east of the lakesouth of Blandare. You can find it byfollowing the road south of Blandare,entering the forest when the road turns to the north. It is nearthe bodies that startTreasure Hunt: Freya Be Praised!
It’s in anabandoned house,on a skeleton. Interact with the remains and take boththe map and key.
Be prepared for enemies. There isa bear near the house, which you can avoid with some clever movement
Awraith will appearafter you search the body, which is much harder to evade. You may have no choice but tofight itthanks to it appearing suddenly in the small house.
Finding The Chest
The quest will take you to aravine south of Farylund,not far from the lake. You can safelyjump down without dying.There is only one chest, the one indicated on the map.
It is hard to spot, being hidden behind a waterfall.Use Geralt’s Witcher Sensesto highlight nearby objects. It will be visible through the water.
If you are having trouble locating the chest,look for the School of the Wolf’s symbolcarved next to the waterfall.
Use the key to unlock the chest and help yourself to its contents. The quest will end here.
