The Witcher 3has no shortage of unpleasant people who should really choke on three pounds of steel. The game does not always give you the chance to deliver your own justice on the lowlifes that perpetuate the many injustices that define Geralt’s world, though there are exceptions.

The side quest “Karmic Justice”, found in Novigrad, has Geralt stopping a racially-motivated beating on the outskirts of the city. The quest itself is on the shorter end and hard to find. While you probably won’t need much help completing the quest, this guide will help you navigate to its starting point.
How To Start Karmic Justice
The quest begins in thesoutheastern part of Novigrad, near several large pots of dye and betweenTretogor Gate and Southern Gate. You shouldn’t have much trouble finding a group of humans stamping on an elf.
You only need towalk up to the groupto start a cutscene. Geralt willtell the humans to stop. They will make the poor decision of refusing and will reach for their weapons, starting a fight.

How To Defeat The Attackers
There areonly three enemiesin this quest, a trio of humans wielding swords. By this point in the game, you should be familiar with fighting such enemies. As always, you’re able to rely onparrying their attacksto create opportunities to deal damage.
If you are slightly under-leveled, you can useHanged Man’s Venomon your steel sword toincrease damage against humanoids, such as these enemies.
Once these enemies are slain, a cutscene will play that has the elves thank Geralt. Theywill not offer a reward, ending the quest after the cutscene.
Themassacre at Riviathat Geralt mentions is the same one thatleads to his death in the books. These events occur before the first game and are referenced in the prior games.
It was apogrom, essentially a racially-motivated killing of non-humans. The mob killed dwarves and elves before setting their sights on Geralt.
