In most instances, Geralt keeps the treasure that he takes from bandits inThe Witcher 3.While there is no doubt that he needs the money and equipment for his own journey, the original owners can rarely be identified. If this bothers you, the quest Finders Keepers will let you return some washed-up treasure to the merchant who had paid for it.

The quest is difficult to find, only started by finding the thieves on an unmarked island to the north of Ard Skellig. If you want to find the quest or learn about its potential rewards, this guide has you covered.
Finding Finders Keepers
This quest isfar to the north of Giants' Toes Fast Travel point,in the northeast corner of Ard Skellig. If this is your first time in the area, be prepared fora large pirate campalong the coastline.
you may findall the diagramsforSuperior Griffin School Armorin a cave nearby.

When thecoastline curves to the west,the island is just ahead.Swim across to the nearby islands,specifically to one with several bandits milling about.Kill all of themandinspect the two crates.
Investigating the markings on the crates willstart the quest.
Telling The Owners
Geralt’s prior experience in the archipelago is enough to figure out the original owner, Clan Brokvar. They areon the southern island of Spikeroog.
Make sure tosearch both boxes before leaving.Finding the sword willincrease the reward.

Travel to the island andlook for a merchant on the shore.He tells Geralt that the cargo belonged to a ship that had gone to raid the continent. Unfortunately, the crew and the cargonever returned.
The merchantwill not be present at night.If you do not see him, trymeditating until noon.With luck, he should appear then.
Telling him about the treasure willnet you 50 crowns.The reward is increased to55 crownsif you bring the sword back with you. The quest will end after this encounter.
