Mika is a four-star Polearm-wielding character who belongs to Mondstadt, and you’ll be going back to the region of Freedom to farm for his materials. He’s a Cryo support character who can be an amazing addition to certain teams for clearing hard battles like the Spiral Abyss.
Mika Ascension Materials
Mika first appeared during a limited-time event in Genshin Impactwhere he was revealed as a member of Grandmaster Varka’s expedition team. He’s an avid Cartographer who wields two weapons at the same time. You’ll be using a Polearm on the character but his basic attacks and skills also use a Crossbow.

Upgrading a character requires Mora and EXP material like Hero’s Wits. These items can be acquired from different events, quests, exploration, or farming Ley Lines.
Mika Talent Materials
If you head over to Mika’s talent screen, you’ll be able to see a total of six talents. The first three talents belong to your basic attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. These talents can be upgraded ten times, and constellations can provide another three levels to the Elemental Skill and Burst talent.

You’ll need thrice the number of materials mentioned aboveif you want to upgrade all of his talents, and the last upgrade needs one Crown of Insight. Though you don’t need to upgrade Mika’s basic attack since you won’t be using them most of the time.
The Ballad books can befarmed from the Forsaken Rift domain in Mondstadt on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. This domain is located to the south of Mondstadt City, and you’ll be up against multiple Cryo Slimes and Abyss Mages based on the level you’re farming.
The domain also has an effect that constantlyincreases your stamina consumption, so you’ll find yourself out of stamina most times. Random icicles also spawn on the battlefield that deal damage and slow you for a little while. It can be quite frustrating to farm this domain without a shielder.
You can also find the Mirror of Mushin after fighting Scaramouche Weekly Boss. This boss is located near Sumeru City and he’s unlocked after finishing the fifth chapter of Sumeru Archon Quest.
Where To Get Shivada Jade Crystal
Shivada Jade is one of the seven types of crystal that can be found in Teyvat, and this crystal belongs to the Cryo element.Every Cryo character will need them for ascension including Mika. The main source for these crystals are the World and Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact like:
You have a wide variety of bosses to farm Shivada Jade crystal, but you’ll have to spend resin to claim rewards after defeating these bosses. It’s better to farm the bosses that give you the exclusive boss item that you might need.
You can also get some Shivada Jade crystals from the big limited-time event in every update, though this isn’t the best source since you hardly get six Shivada Jade Fragments.
Where To Get Wolfhook
Wolfhook is a local specialty that can only be found in the Wolvendom area of Mondstadt. These can be differentiated by their purple color and spikes at the bottom. You’ll mostly find these items around the Lupus Boreas boss, which has a distinct mark on the map.
If you have Mika in your party, there will be a separate icon for Mondstadt regional specialties on your mini-map when you’re near them. This can make it much easier to farm them since you’ll need a total of 168 to fully ascend Mika. Moreover, you can get three Wolfhooks if you do Mika’s trial.
Where To Get Insignias
Recruit’s, Sergeant’s, and Lieutenant’s insignias are one of the easiest mob drops to farm in Genshin Impact. These items drop when you defeat a Fatui Skirmisher of any kind. The skirmishers can be found in every single region of Teyvat, and they can be located quite easily since these enemies are huge.
Moreover, the insignias also have a chance of dropping when you defeat the Fatui Agents or Cicin Mages. The drop rate of these items is quite high, so you’ll be able to horde them easily. Though the enemies need to be over level 40 to get Sergeant’s Insignia and level 60 to get Lieutenant’s Insignia.
The level of mobs in your world increases each time you increase your World Level. Moreover, you’ll also find higher-level mobs in further regions like Inazuma and Sumeru.
Where To Get Pseudo-Stamens
Pseudo-Stamens areboss items dropped exclusively by the Setekh Wenut boss in the Sumeru Desert. This is the only ascension material required by Mika that can’t be found in Mondstadt. Setekh Wenut can be found in the Wenut Tunnels and you can easily reach the boss using the Teleport Waypoint below it.
During the battle, this boss will constantly go undergroundand only appear every few seconds. You need to seize every opportunity to deal heavy damage to it, which means that you need to use Burst-type characters. The Wenut will float in the air every few seconds to perform a special attack.
You can shoot the Anemo bubbles with Cryo, Hydro, Pyro, or Electro element tobring the boss down and it’ll stay in a vulnerable state for a few seconds.
A flower will spawn from the ground once you defeat the boss, and you may revitalize it with 40 Original Resin. This will give you one to three Pseudo-Stamens based on your World Level. Unfortunately, this World Boss doesn’t give you the Shivada Jade crystal.
This means that you’ll have to spend extra resin to get everything required for Mika, which can be quite frustrating for beginners since resin is quite valuable.
