The Hidden Village inWo Long: Fallen Dynastyacts as something of a hub area. There are NPCs to talk to, including Followers and characters who will give you quasi-side quests to undertake. One of these is to find a lost key to enter a locked house.

The house in question is just down from the Blacksmith and to the right of the building where the woman asking for Notes lives. You’ll find an NPC standing outside their home who says they have lost their keys, wondering where they went. You will find both of the keys in question during main story quests.

Taoist’s House Key First Location

Before starting the Main Battlefield,Searching for the Immortal Wizard, you’ll arrive in the Hidden Village. While here, you should search around and chat with the NPCs.To trigger the key to spawn in the missionyou should first talk to the woman outside her house in the village.

As you progress through the Searching for the Immortal Wizard battlefield,you’ll eventually come to a large alligator demonin a cave. This is right before the main boss fight in the level, so you can’t miss it. From the alligator arena,a small alcove will be on your left as you exit the cave. The key can be found there,in front of an old lantern. Beat the level and return to the Hidden Village with the key.

Open the front door and loot the chest in the middle.

We were rewarded with 3-star rarity dual bronze swords, which may or may not be a fixed drop.

Taoist’s House Key Second Location

Upon giving the first key to the villager, she will mention that she has somehow managed to loseher backyard key. You won’t find this key untilPart Five,which unlocks themission War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely.

Follow the natural path of the game until you come to an area where youenter the sewers through a stone dragon’s head, which is nearly at the end of the mission. In the first main room, there will be a bunch of water spirit enemies who you can kill or ignore.On the left and right of the chamber, there are several side roomsto duck into.

TheTaoist’s Backyard Key can be found in the first side roomto the left of the main chamber, the one which has a pillar in front of it. The room curves around to the left, and the item will be at theend of the path. With the second key in hand, complete the missionand return to the Hidden Village.

With the backdoor opened, you’re able to find aDragon Vein Essence to your right.

How To Open The Locked Chests In The Hidden Village

You might think that’s the end of it, and you’ll be able to grab those tantalising treasure chests you spied on so much earlier in the game. However, upon reaching the garden and touching the chests,you will find all three are locked. Go back to the front and talk to the woman, and she will tell you the chests are yours if you give her some items.

She will ask forone of eachof the following items:

By this time, you should have plenty of these to give her. Handing over each item rewards you withone Zu Xia’s Handmade Keyitem.Exhaust her dialogue, and you’ll get your three keys. Now it’s time to open the chests.

Chest Rewards

With all three keys, you can open the chests in any order you desire. We started with the left chest and worked our way to the right. The rewards from the left and middle chests are fixed and do not change, while the right chest is more random.

With the chests looted, you’ve officially cleared this quest. Enjoy the rewards, and never question how or why the keys got to where you found them.
