Energy Cells provide more blue spheres of energy for your Soul Links, while Life Cells increase your maximum health (and refills it each time you grab one).

How To Use This Guide
Below, we’ve broken down the areas of Nibel in Ori and the Blind Forest with the map, witheach area of Nibelhaving itsown section.This zoom-in on the area should help youfind the markers on the overworld mapa bit easier.
Some areas haveboth Life CellsandEnergy Cells, which we’ve organized intonumberedtables below the mapto help keep everything straight as you find both collectibles.
If there aremore than one of eachin the area, we’ve divvied the map up intotwo separate maps,one with the Life Cell locations, and theothershowing where to findEnergy Cells.
Collectibles arenot numbered in the game; we’ve done this to help keep our directions straightforward for you.
Meanwhile,other areas only have one or the otherkind of cell. We’ve included the overworld map and a description of how to get to the location marked.
Both collectibles are shown on the maps included,marked in green and blue, respectively.
How to Get

From the right platform,jump up ontothe top of the mushroom tree(it almost looks like a piece of the background, but you may stand on it). Hop to thebluish mushrooms to the leftto find a small cavern just inside the rocks here.

From theAncestral Tree, test out your new wall jump ability bywall jumping up the rocks to the right.

After opening the energy door usingfour Energy Cells, defeat the enemies just inside. After getting the diving enemy to break the cracked section of floor, jump over the gap andpush the rock downinto the hole. Jump in and land behind the rock,pushing it forwardto shield yourself from the laser. Then, use it as a platform to reach the Cell just above.

After thewater is restored,swim through this narrow corridorto the Energy Cell in the air pocket all the way to the left.

Use the platforms to get across the waterdown in this area (you’re not able to swim yet). Jump off when you get to theleft sideof the pond, then run down the hallway to collect the Energy Cell further toward the end.
Afterrestoring the wind, hop into the wind stream and ride up along thewall to the left. It looks like a solid wall on the overworld map, but you’ll notice acorridor beyond what looks like a wall. Run along the corridor and take care of the enemies to find the Life Cell at the end.
From the Energy Gate, wall jumponto the spiderwebshanging in the middle and use them to reach theplatform to the top rightof this area. Carefullywall jump through the spikesto lower yourself down, then jump across into the small area with the Life Cell.
Once you’re able tobash, hop out to one of the poles over the water andbash off the spiderto carefullygrab the wall just above itto the left, being careful of the prickers along the rocks here.Wall jump acrossto whatlooks like a dead endon the overworld map to find asecret corridorthat leads to the Life Cell.
After you’vetaken care of the waterand are able tostomp, head back to where you grabbed the Life Cell we’ve listed as thesecond Life Cellin this area. Hop to thetall centermost polesticking from the water andstomp ita few times toopen a passageway underwater. Dive into the water andgo through the doorwayyou opened. Be careful of the enemies and lasers here, andstomp the pillaron the platform to the right. Continue downward, taking care of the enemies as you go to make it safe tostomp the pillaron the next platform as well. This blocks the laser so that you canrun across the bottom safelyand grab the Life Cell.
Once you’re able to bash,use the enemies and theirprojectilestobash your way over the lava. Land on the fallen tree trunk, being mindful of the enemy here as you go rightdown the trunkinto a small cave with the Energy Cell.

With your charge jump, hop across the poles sticking from the water and use the one into the middle tojump into the vertical passagewayabove you. Grab the wall andwall jumpup the corridor. Grab the small chunk ofrocks on the ceiling to the left, andcharge jump across the spikes. Be careful of the enemy when you land, and then follow this corridorto the right.

Carefully jumpover the spikesand head toward whatlooks like a dead-endon the overworld map. It’s apassagewaythat leads to the Energy Cell.

Starting from thewaterfall beneath the Life Cell, use your bash to get up to theplatforms to the right, then bash your way over to theplatform to the leftbehind the stream of water to grab the Life Cell.
Beginning from the log over the water in thebottom rightof this open area, use theupdraft in the middletofloat up and to the left. Land on the broken tree trunk here to grab the Energy Cell.
With thedouble jumpability, lower your way toward thewater at the bottom. Use your wall jump tohug the right wall by the bottomso that you can angle yourself todouble jump to the hanging wooden platforms.Wall jump to hold onto them a bit and guide your way down so that you candouble jump againto wall jump onto the left wall. Handle the enemies and wall jump over the spikes along the way, and the Life Cell ison a platform at the top, to the right.
This Life Cell requires the bash ability to be able tojump over the spikes onto the higher platformwithout being hurt. Keep heading right once you land, then use an enemy projectile tolaunch your way upto theplatform above the spider.
From the Map Stoneat the bottom of this area with thebash ability, head to the right andwall jumpuntil you canjump to the hanging platform. Get to the top of it andjump across this area toward the left, using the tops of hanging platforms to cross.Head leftonce you land on the left, keep going anddrop into the area below. Jump across the water here and thenuse a projectile to launch up the waterfall, wall jumping to the top to grab the Life Cell.
you may’t climb this left wall, so you’ll need todrop to the bottomand take the long way around. Be careful of enemies and crushers, andwall jump to the rightwhen you’ve emerged into the more open space. When the crusher up here falls,ride itup to the platform with the Energy Cell.
In this passageway that reaches up and over to double you back, get to theright sideof it on your overworld map (past the stone crusher platforms) andwall jump up the wall to the leftto enter this corridor. Jump over the spikes and keep heading left, where you’ll see the Energy Cell sitting on asmall platform to the rightas you start to go down this corridor to loop back around.
Usefour Energy Pointsto open this door, thenpush the rockoff the ledge so that it’s blocking the laser. Jump over this small gap, into a wall jump on the left wall, and use that to get over the small platform andonto the right wallby the spikes.Wall jump leftto avoid them and thenpush the rock up here back down. Jump down behind it andpush it into the small gapjust past where you blocked the laser. Fall down after it andpush it to the rightoff this platform. Use the rock to block your enemy’s projectiles, and when you stick the rockunder the broken platformabove, theprojectile will shatter the rocks. Wall jump to grab the Energy Cell here to the right.

Use the enemy projectiles toascend through this area without touching the spikes. Get up and over this platform anddrop down to the left. Gothrough this portalto grab the Energy Cell.
*It’s easy to miss this Life Cell -once you leave, youcannot come back to the Ginso Tree a second time.
This means you need toget this Life Cell as you come across it.
Dive into the waterat the top of this underwater corridor and carefully swim through the crushing stones on your waytoward the bottom.Resurfaceandjump over the spikes, where you’ll find alever. Jumpback into the waterfrom there to continue forward, take care of the enemies within, andresurface on the platform to the leftto grab the Energy Cell.
Hop across the floating rocks, using them as a shield against the enemy’s fire, then use the hanging lantern tojump to the rightover the spikes.Drop down this lower corridor, being careful of the fire. When you land, the bottom looks like a dead end, but theleft walldown here is fake. Go through it to reveal the Life Cell.
From the pillar you moved with the leverin the snaking section of passageways to the left in the overworld map above, aboulder will fall from the ceilingand chase you down this decline. Quicklywall jump over the pillar in your way, as the boulder will not be stopped. Keep running quickly through this bottom section andwall jump up the right wallto find a pillar to bash.Bash the pillarto open the next area, and Life Cell is unmissable as you move onto Moon Grotto.
- This area is very easy to get mixed up withMoon Grotto, as it’s right where the map sections intersect.

Charge jumpyour way up through the broken section of rock that leads to a smallvertical cavernas seen above on the map. Handle the enemy here and goleftfor the Life Cell.
Use the updraft here tofloat upwardsthrough the spikes. Mind the lava shots and grab the Keystones along the way.Across from the door at the top, it appears to be a solid wall to the left. Go toward it to find asecret cavernthat contains the Energy Cell.
Beginning from the small platform underneath the Energy Cell on your map, it looks as though the ceiling is solid.Jump directly upwardfrom the small platform to go through asecret passage in the ceiling. Wall jump to make it past the spikes and grab the last Energy Cell.
