Any good soldier has got to familiarize themselves with the terrain their operating in. Sure, one way to do that is to just dive in head first and see what’s what. But, perhaps, give yourself a fighting chance and understand the lay of the land. There are several POIs (points of interest) that are worth noting.
Spawn Points
If you’re playing DMZ, you’ll spawn into the map. Though, Battle Royale players dropping in should note these outer rim locations as well. There aremultiple spawn pointsthat are typically on the shores of the island. The following areas are the most common.
Town Center
This location is on the west shoreline of the island. There are a few multi-level buildings here that are ripe for the plucking as far as looting is concerned. Spawning here is a great way to start off your DMZ match. As a Battle Royale location, it might bea hot drop-in location considering the looting advantage.
South Of Beach Club
Beach Club is on the Southwest exterior of the island. The spawn point is actually just a little further South of that location. As you’d expect, the club is mostly an open location. There is one level to the club that is indoors, while you can ascend to the top level that is simply gated. The exterior is just paved surfaces. This is also the location of astrongholdwhich might be a perfect earning opportunity right out the gate.
Just slightly North of the Beach Club next to a gas station is aDead Drop (dumpster) locationto stash cash and items away for safe keeping - you know, just in case you don’t make it to exfil.

Port Ashika
The port is a treasure trove, but most certainly riddled with AI enemy combatants in DMZ. The entire port is lined with structures including warehouses and offices. In the Northwest corner of the port, there is a communication tower that you may climb for a birdseye view.
There are alsomultiple locked cachesin the port worth noting and asafe. Also, Port Ashika will also grant you access to theunderground canalthat’s underTsuki Castle. It might make for a less conspicuous way to travel.

There is apotential radiation zone spawn pointin the Northeast corner of the port. It’s located near a safe and a stronghold.
Shipwreck
Just like the title of this locale implies, there are two tankers that are wrecked and beached in this location along with multiple cargo containers containing the goods. There is one locked cache in the Southern tanker. Otherwise, there aren’t any other notable items of interest at this location. If you spawn here, you might consider making your way Northeast toward astrongholdand theResidential area.
There aretwo evac points pretty close to Shipwreck. There’s one on the Northern cliff and one on the Southern ledge both overlooking the two tankers.

Residential
This is, of course, the housing for the apparent soldiers who are residents of Ashika Island. But they’re all on duty leaving you with plenty of opportunities for breaking and entering. The neighborhood is filled with homes and looting opportunities.
But most importantly, this isa great location to lie low. Because of its looting potential, it’s a great place to stalk and kill other players. There’s plenty of cover. All you need to do is hold still and listen to the pitter-patter of enemies running amok.

In the heart of the Residential region there is aDead Drop. Make note of this.
North Of Oganikku Farms
This spawn point is at the Northernmost tip of the island along the West bank. In you’re immediate view, there’s a tower that you can climband dilapidated structures that you can loot.
If you head immediately South, you’ll enter Oganikku Farms. This location contains agricultural buildings and also astronghold. There’s plenty of looting potential here.

Southeast of Oganikku Farms across the street from a gas station isanother Dead Drop location. Keep this in mind for storage.
This is apotential radiation zonespawn point.
Three Major Facilities
Aside from the areas or regions of Ashika Island, there are three major facilities that you might have an interest in. All three of these facilitiesrequire a special key to enter, which is gained (mostly at random) from the corpse of an AI combatant. If you’re familiar with Al Mazrah’s major facilities, it’s the same idea.
Power Plant
This is located just slightly Northwest ofTsuki Castleand may be astronghold. It’s a multi-level building with perimeter fencing around it. Of course, the loot is mighty nice butexpect heavy resistance.
City Hall
This oddly-shaped building is literally across the road to theEast of the Beach Club. It looks like an oval cut in half on your Tac Map. This facility is a bit bigger than the Power Plant. There are multiple levels and plenty of rooms to scrounge for materials. But again, make sure you’re ready forheavily armored foes.
Tsuki Castle
This one should really go without saying considering it’s the major central feature of this map. And, of course,it’s the location that always has a juggernaut roaming around with the weapon caseyou’re going to want to exfil with. Expect heavy resistance. There are many layers to this onion meaning there’s plenty to explore if the enemy element with leave you alone long enough to do just that.
Other Notable Locations Not Specifically Labeled On The Tac Map
We’ve covered the seven, primary areas noted on your Tac Map and the three major locked facilities, including Tsuki Castle. As you may have surmised, the action is mostly on the exterior of the island, and the central point which is Tsuki Castle. There’s a ring around the castle of mostly barren land, gravel, and roads. Despite this, there are still some locations you should be aware of.
Northern Shore
If you find the center of the Northern shore between the East and West sides of the island, you’ll see a point on the map where the island border concaves inward. If you go to that point, you’ll see thatthis is another entrance to the massive canal systemthat runs under the length of the island and pops out the other side in Port Ashika.
Underground Canal
Speaking of theunderground canal, this place is teeming with AI combatants if you’re playing in DMZ. Though, it’s a bit easier to not get yourself surrounded considering the linearity of the canal and its branches. There’s a hefty amount of loot to be found in this space and plenty to explore. You can almost consider adding this massive canal as a separate territory on the map adding greatly to the size of Ashika Island.
Estate Between Residential And Tsuki Castle
If you look just slightlySouth of Residential, you’ll find a compound that isn’t labeled on your map. It’s a decent size complete with a courtyard. Aside from the looting advantages this location provides, there are plenty of traversal advantagesas well. It’s pretty simple to climb materials and walls located around the complex to get up to the roof and survey the area. Additionally, there’s plenty of cover for dicey firefights should you encounter enemy players.
