Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as a good Metroidvania game, is filled with secrets and a high replay value, making it a game you can spend a lot of time on. It’s easy to get lost in the depths of the Shadowlands in Kashyyyk, and it’s enjoyable to explore every single corner of the Swamp of Sacrifice in Dathomir, with the only objective of finding every secret this game has to offer.

Nonetheless, one of the most valuable secrets Fallen Order has is the Life Essences, which are special Echoes of the Force that can increase Cal’s life. There are 12 of these ones hidden in the game.
Bogano
It’s highly recommended toskip these Life Essences until your third time in Boganobecause you’ll need to have the Double Jump ability, the Pull ability, and polished combat skills to defeat the mighty Oggdo Bogdo.
First Life Essence
The first Life Essence isin the pit of the Oggdo Bogdo, one of the four mini-boss fights of the game.
To reach the Oggdo Bogdo’s hideout, you mustgo to the first Meditation Point of Bogano, the one in front of the door that leads to the Abandoned Workshop. Then,turn to the left and follow the pipes,but instead of going to the room where you’ll find a Force Essence,continue following the pipesuntil finding an area with a walkable wall and some pillars.
Cross the area, andyou’ll find a big cave. Inside the cave lays the Oggdo Bogdo and the Life Essence you are looking for.
Second Life Essence
To get this one, you’ll need the Double Jump ability.Go to the Subterranean Refuge, exactly where Cal learns the Wall Run ability.You’ll find two tall walls, and you must climb them.
This is what you have to do to climb the walls:
This is a quick sequence of Double Jumps and Wall Runs, andit’s hard to performiton your first attempt, so don’t worry if it takes you a while.
You’ll see a swinging ropeat the end of the wall climb. You have tojump and pull itwith your Pull ability. Aim tofall on the walkable wallon the other side of the room. To reach it, you have todo a Double Jump.
Cal will run on the wall, and all you have to do after that is jump to reach the platform where the Life Essence is.
Kashyyyk
There’s only a Life Essence in Kashyyyk, and it’s locatednear the entrance to the path that leads you to the Shadowlands. It’s easy to see, as it’s near a big pipe that will work as a bridge if you use the Pull ability on it.
Ilum
As you reach the point shown in the picture above,you’ll see two statues and a cave between them. Explore it.
Inside the cave,you’ll find a path on the left. The first thingyou’ll see there is a walkable wall. Use it and then do a double jump to reach a platform. Then,there will be a small passageyou have to go through.
You’ll find a long slide on the other side of the passage.Then,two walkable wallsand, in the end, the Life Essence, next toa rock pillaryou can push. Use this rock pillar to unlock a path that lets you leave the small cave.
You’ll reach the second Life Essencethrough the same cave between the sage statuesin the same spot as the first one, but instead of taking the path at the left,you have to go to the path at the right.
You’ll see a gap on this new path that you have to jump.Then, turn to the left. After that,you’ll see a swing ropeyou have to use, and then, there’s a section with some walkable walls and a climbable wallat the end. You have to go to the right.Follow the path, and you’ll find the Life Essence.
Dathomir
First Force Essence
As soon as you drop off the Mantis, go forward and up the ramp until finding a group of enemies ina bifurcation.Take the path to the leftand thenturn left again;you’ll see a wooden cagethat you can push to open a cave.
Push the wooden cage until the end of the cave; you have to make it fall through a hole. Then,drop yourself in the hole, and push the wooden trap to the back of the cave.
Don’t push the cage outside the cave; it’s hard to fit it in again.
There are some vines you can climb on.Follow their path, and you’ll find yourself in another room where you’ll find the Life Essence and a door to get out of the place.
The second Life Essence is near theBrother’s Bastion. As you reach the place shown in the picture,you’ll find a swinging rope. Instead of going forward, you mustswing yourself towards the Meditation Point. At this point, you should see the Life Essence waiting for you.
After getting enough momentum,drop yourself off the swing rope, do a double jump, and you’ll reach the Life Essence.
Zeffo
This Life Essence needs you to have theDouble Jump Ability, so you can’t reach it on your first adventure in Zeffo.
After reaching the point shown in the picture, you have tostop the windmill platformso you may do ajump to reach a higher platformwhere you’ll find a Meditation Point. After that, you’ll find a path that leads you through some more windmill-like platformsuntil getting to a cave.
Remember to usethe Slow abilityto make yourself through this path.
Now that you are inside the cave, you must explore it until finding the Life Essence.
Even though you can reach this Life Essence on your first time in Zeffo,It’s recommended to wait until having the Double Jump ability. The jumps in this zone are hard to do without the Double Jump.
Shortly before reachingthe last Mediation Point in Auger Pulverizers,you’ll find yourself ona cliff with some canesyou can cut with your lightsaber. Under these canes,you’ll see three pulverizers you can use as platforms.
To move on these platforms, you have toslow them. Slow down the first platform and drop yourself in it. You’ll see the Life Essence, but you must slow the other two platforms and then jump on them to reach it.
Third Life Essence
As you get to theCrash Siteand you defeat the Jotaz at the rightmost island(the one with a big circle on it where you can find the Dreamwort Seed), if you take a look at the mountain next to the circle, you’ll see a rope that leads to a cave.
Inside the cave,you’ll seea control panel that BD-1 can overcharge. Doing this will activate the lights in the place and also put some big pulverizers to work.
Go through the first two pulverizers, and when the last one smashes against the wall,slow it down,jump on it, and reach the platform where you’ll see the Life Essence.
Fourth Life Essence
You can find this Life Essence when exploringthe Crash Sitefor the first time.It’ll be on thepathway that leads you to theTomb of Miktrull.
Fifth Life Essence
Midway through your adventure in theTomb of Miktrull, you’ll find the place shown in the picture, whereyou’ll see the Life Essence trapped behind a wall. To open it, you mustpush the Skungus(the dome-like beast that pops out from the ground and blows after contact) towards the wall where the Life Essence is to get access to it.
