There are plenty of helpful collectibles to find inOri and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, but maybe one of the most powerful are your Spirit Light Containers. Dropped from enemies or found dotted around the world of Nibel, Spirit Light Containers add to the meter at the bottom of your screen, offering a new Ability Point when the bar is maxed.

But with so much going on in Ori and the Blind Forest, it’s easy to miss things as you’re focused on other puzzles and staying alive. Below, we’ve detailed how to get each Spirit Light Container for you.
How to Get It

Before climbing up the rock you’ve just pushed, get behind it and check in what looks to be a solid tree trunk for a hidden Spirit Light Container.

Throw your flame and use it to dash your way up to the high platform on the right, wall jumping if needed if you shoot a little short of the platform itself.

Wall-jump up the wall segment on the left.

Before hopping on the log ramp upwards, check under it for a Spirit Light Container.

Swim underwater for the Spirit Light Container at the bottom of this pool.

Drop down from the ledge, just before the blocked doorway.

it the switch on the ceiling to open the closed latch underwater, then swim through and into the underwater cavern to the right.

When running along the fallen log, keep going through what looks like the solid endpoint to find your first Spirit Light Container.

Throw a projectile, then use it to jump up to the high platform on the right.
How to Get
Use a projectile to dash your way into the tree to the left, through which you should barely be able to see the Spirit Light Container.
While standing on the top of the top-most wooden platform, jump to the wall on your left and climb it into a small hole in the tree with the Spirit Light Container.
Dash up from the floating platform just below this opening in the rock wall, being mindful of the spikes as you land.
Drop into the water, being mindful of the enemies, and swim through the narrow passage to get the Spirit Light Container.
When it’s safe to do so, jump to this upper platform.
Open the platform above and drop down.
This Spirit Light Container is on an upper platform by spikes that lead into Moon Grotto’s section of the map.
Use a projectile to hit the trigger, then jump down into the corridor leading to the Spirit Light Container and wall jump to reach it.
Get one of the purple enemies to lob a projectile to break the cracked rock bridge, then drop down into it. Be mindful of the water – rely on wall jumps to get the Spirit Light Container.
Swim through this small passage.
This one looks separated from the rest of the map, but swim toward the wall just beside where it is on your map to find a secret tunnel full of spikes. Swim carefully through them for the Container.
Break the log above this small area of water, then swim down into it.
The trigger to open this gate is up by the Spirit Light Container we’ve marked as number eight on the map above. Hit it, and then jump down into the water and swim for your newly-unlocked Container.
From the Ancestral Tree, break the crumbling rock platform to the right.
Dash through the rocks to break them, then dash up again to land on the platform to the right.

Get into a wall jump against the right side of the hanging stone pillar and use it to climb upwards, jumping to the Spirit Light Container on the far right in the top corner.
From the starting platform, carefully get into a wall jump against the stones hanging down just above you, then leap from this wall over the spikes to get the Spirit Light Container.
Jump onto the wooden platform instead of going down the path, then jump up the small section of wall to the right.
Dash off of one of the enemy’s projectiles into a wall jump on the section of wall just above you, then jump off towards the right.
Dive underwater for this Container.
While the wall ahead of you here looks solid, jump to the small log sticking out to learn that it’s in fact transparent, grabbing the Spirit Light Container from in here.
Getting this Spirit Light Container without taking damage from the spikes will require careful double-jumping to get back out of the small inlet that has the Container.
Dive off the platform above and into the water.
Wait for the enemy to shoot a projectile that you may use to launch yourself into a wall jump on the small section of stones to the right of the falls, then jump off towards the right.

From the wooden platform after dropping down, wall jump to the hanging platform just off the edge of the platform from which you’re coming.

Jump up the wall on the right, then leap into a wall jump against the hanging platform.

Reorient the projectile being fired at you towards the floor, so that it ricochets up and breaks the platform. Once the platform is gone, wall jump up the left wall.

Navigate the rows of raising and lowering stones in this section. The Spirit Light Container is on the lowest level, requiring you to ride down the lowering stone in order to grab it.

Dash into a wall jump against the rocks hanging down, then climb up that segment of wall.
This Spirit Light Container is hidden behind what looks like a solid tree trunk. Get into a wall jump just below it using a dash, then keep climbing to expose and grab it.
Jump up beside the Ancestral Tree and fling yourself toward the Spirit Light Container.
Dash at the ceiling above the broken tree to break it, then drop in to grab your Spirit Light Container.
Jump off the platform above this Spirit Light Container, being careful to steer away from the spikes as you fall.
Use the projectiles the enemy to your left in this area is firing to launch yourself at what looks like an unreachable Spirit Light Container in the air by the ceiling.
Use the enemy’s projectiles to launch yourself into the small area where it and the Spirit Light Container are. Grab the Container and dash again through the enemy to get back out.
Bounce off the pad at the bottom of this area into a wall jump on the right, then finish climbing this small section of rocks to grab the Spirit Light Container.
Dash into this container quickly before continuing upward.
Jump to this Spirit Light Container from the left wall, but return back to the left wall quickly to continue climbing past the spikes.

Very carefully dash your way directly upwards, being mindful of the spikes surrounding this Spirit Light Container if you jump slightly too far.
This Spirit Light Container is on the bottom-most level under the platforms, in the bottom-left corner.
This Container is at the top of the tree.
From the tree branches in this upper area, jump to the Spirit Light Container on the left, dashing if need be to close the distance.
Wall jump from the bottom section to reach this Container.
Misty Woods
With the majority of Misty Woods unmapped, it’s difficult to give specific directions to locate the Spirit Light Containers in Misty Woods.
We foundfive totalSpirit Light Containers in Misty Woods, entirely within thesection that doesn’t appear on your map.
After picking up the Light Shield, go right and walk up to the right wall, then drop down.
Bash the spider (or its projectiles) to bounce yourself into a little cavern.
From the top-most glowing swing, jump to the hidden wall on the right (in the darkness), and climb up before jumping left toward the glowing mushrooms.
You need the Light Shield for this Spirit Light Container.
Dash up into the corridor above you from the platform just below, getting into a wall jump against the right wall. Climb all the way up and jump to the left.
(Unmissable when passing through this area)
Launch yourself off the enemy to clear the wide chasm here, landing on the platform with the Spirit Light Container on the right.
Dash at the rock in front of the Spirit Light Container to break it.
Climb into this opening with the Spirit Light Container while climbing through the area, being mindful of enemies as you go.
Very carefully drop down through the spikes while floating through this spiked area.
Drop down the wind tunnel past the wall of rocks, then jump through the small corridor leading upwards to the left of where you just jumped down. Use any combination of wall jumping and using the spider’s projectiles to navigate your way up this corridor.
Dash off a projectile to wall jump on the left wall, jumping to the right when necessary to avoid spikes. Leap to the platform with the Spirit Light Container once you’re high enough to do so.
This one will require floating through this large lava cavern to a platform on the leftmost side.
Avoid the enemies shooting projectiles to carefully grab this low Spirit Light Container.
Avoid the projectiles and float to the platform on the left.
Drop to reach this one from the Spirit Well.
This Spirit Light Container is hidden just above you as you pass through here.
Navigate through this area to the platform on the left.
Float down to the platform, being mindful of the projectile-spitting enemies as you go.
Carefully wait for the laser to fire, shooting open the rocks covering this Spirit Light Container.
Blast the rock under the lava upwards, quickly sliding under it while it’s in the air blocking the flow of lava.
Wait in a wall jump to the right for the falling obstacle to be flush with the ground, then use it as a platform to jump up and reach the Spirit Light Container.
You’ll still be earning Spirit Light Containers for defeating enemies throughout the game, so partnered with the Spirit Light Containers above, you’ll be earning Ability Points pretty consistently throughout Ori and the Blind Forest.
