Sun Havenputs you in charge of a neophyte farmer trying to make a living in a fantasy world filled with magical creatures and fascinating people. Mining is one of the game’s main activities, accompanied by its dedicated skill tree filled with diverse upgrades. Whether you’re using magic or enchanted pickaxes, someone has to mine these nodes to create better tools to protect the quiet city.

You’ll be going up against enemies, bad luck, and time down in the mines. Fortunately, the game spices up the tedious task with spells and skills to make the process more efficient, so verify to prepare yourself for the task.

7Saving Daylight

Sun Haven offers players a setting slider to customize the length of their day, lasting 40 minutes at its max setting. Dial that slider up before you head down to the mines, so you can spend more time gathering ores and navigating the caverns. It also helps if you mine during rainy days, saving you the trouble of watering crops.

The trip to and from the quarry also costs valuable time and money when caught after curfew, making you spend precious resources that could have been used to fix the town. But, you can teleport back to your home by closing and opening the game, saving all your progress and resuming where you left off. Use the trick to stay as late as you need before curfew.

6Tangential Qualifications

The Mining skill tree gives you an expansive list of perks to help gather and process the rich ores you’ve collected. Useful skills like Coal Miner can help gather coal for smelting ores, and Blast Mining gives you a chance to create a shower of ores. Additionally, you could lean into the Blacksmith fantasy, making bank from producing specialized armor and high-quality trinkets.

You’ll earn the majority of your mining experience from active mining. However, you could also gain mining experience by completing quests from the Bulletin Board or special quests directly from townsfolk. Creating and consuming jams made from the Jam Maker also grants a significant chunk of experience points for any skill you’re pursuing.

5Keys Now, Ores Later

While clearing out every stone in a floor before moving on is tempting, it’s much better (and less boring) to be efficient when mining. Blitz through permanently unlocking gates by smelting all the ores you find into keys. Copper and Iron tools don’t provide a significant upgrade, so you’re better off crafting more keys to unlock the gates. Additionally, the enemies encountered in the early floors aren’t strong enough to warrant better gear.

The first major goal is mining Adamant ore past the 20th floor. Aside from the welcome boost, these tools can also harvestHardwood and Heavystone blocking your farm. The next big goal is to aim for Sunite ore, but you can also craft a few Mithril tools if needed.

4Bring Ranged Firepower

The mines contain dangerous enemies that can give you a free tip to Dr. Wornhardt if you underestimate them. Staving them off with swords is a feasible plan. But between the ranged enemies and the pile of rocks blocking the way, you should pack a hard-hitting range weapon before spelunking.

A buffed-up Fireball spell can easily deter any underground adversaries; however, it comes at the inefficient price of eating up your mana. Better yet, a well-built crossbow can serve up lethal damage from afar without tapping into your mana reserves.

3Blast Mining

Mining becomes less repetitive once you reach the fourth tier and unlock the handy Vacuumulus spell. Activating the spell emits a shockwave near you that damages rocks, nodes, and enemies. The spell transforms the monotonous mining experience into an ecological crime as you blast through the caverns, spitting up rusty keys, ores, and experience in your wake.

you may empower the spell by raising your spell damage through equipment and other skills, like the ones in the combat tree. Vaccumulus drains a sizeable chunk of your mana, so you’ll want to make sure it does the job on the first cast.

2Keep The Mana Flowing

The Vacuumulus spell will make your time in the mines effortless. Because of that, investing in increasing your mana pool and creating a steady supply of mana consumables will let you use your best spell more often. There are many ways to increase your overall mana, like eating specific food and reading mana tomes.

Mana consumables are harder to come by during the early game. Juicing Blueberries and Water Crystals are great items to restore mana. Cheese, made from processed Milk in the Cooking Pot, gives back a decent chunk of mana with minimal investment. Find othergifts for the villagersbecause you’ll need all mana you can get.

1Rocks And Stones

The Sun Haven mines contain 50 floors of stones, treasures, and enemies. There’s a reward waiting for you at the end of every tenth floor, as well as a gate you can unlock to proceed to the next batch of floors. At the end of the 20th and 40th floor, you’ll have to go through an Ore Muncher that demands a set amount of stones, ores, and gems.

Set some ores aside to prepare for the Ore Muncher’s toll fee; you can always visit the creature to check what they want. There’s no need to sell the extra ore you gathered for gold, as there are better ways to make money in the Sun Haven.
