The penalties for losing a fight in Minecraft Legends aren’t terrible, so don’t be afraid to experiment - if something doesn’t work, come back later and try something new!

Let Your Mobs Do The Fighting

Don’t let your hero’s Diamond Sword fool you - you won’t get very far if you attempt to do all the fighting yourself. It takesseveral strikes to defeat even the weakest piglins, and you’ll fall quickly if you let yourself get outnumbered.

The only way to win fights is torely on your troopsand towers.Remember, you’re the commander! Your job is tostay alive and direct your mobsso that they can defeat the Nether Hordes.

Look For Speed Wheat And Bouncecaps

Scattered across the Overworld are plants that will affect your hero if you touch them. While some, like thorn bushes and poison vines, should be avoided, there are two in particular that willhelp youget where you’re going much faster.

Speed Wheatgreatly increases your movement speedfor a short while, while Bouncecaps let youjump incredibly high. You can have both bonuses going at once if you’re lucky enough to find both plants next to one another. Best of all, you can use both types of plantsas many times as you want!

Take Time To Explore

With piglins pouring in from portals all over the map, you’ll probably want to start attacking their bases right away. When you first start a campaign, though, it’s worthchecking out areas far from any Villages, especially if it doesn’t seem like you’ll have a reason to go there later.

Exploring the map ensures that youlocate Power Towers, First Golems, and other useful things. Even if you’re able to’t use them right away, knowing where they are means you’ll be able to unlock them immediately once you can.

Search For Chests

Chests are hidden throughout the Overworld, and they’re not always easy to spot. They might behidden in trees or in crevasses, but you don’t want to miss them!

Chests typically containextra Allays, letting you have more building or mining projects going simultaneously. You’ll also find resources in chests quite often, and that’smore important than it sounds.Resources that you find in chests can be collectedeven if they would exceed your carrying capacity, allowing you to have more of a resource on-hand than you’d normally be allowed!

Rescue The Homesteads First

After your initial victory at the end of the prologue, you’ll be able to visit the Homesteads where your allies - the Skeletons, Zombies, and Creepers - live. Any allies that you find standing around will join your army if yourally them with the Banner of Courage.

Almost immediately, the piglins willconquer all three Homesteads, forcing you to rescue them. Doing sounlocks Spawners for each ally mob, letting you summon them whenever you need them.

You’ll periodically have to defend the Homesteads from further invasions, but it’s always worth it - Skeletons and Zombies aresome of your best troops, and Creepers canblast almost any piglin building to rubble!

Focus On Defeating One Horde At A Time

To stop the piglin invasion, you’ll need todefeat all three Hordes by destroying their Portals. All three will attack and expand relentlessly; don’t panic, though! Instead, pick one Hordeand concentrate on destroying all of their Portals and defeating their leader.

Not only is this thefastest, most efficient method for stopping the piglins, but it also has a practical benefit; after a Horde has been destroyed (it doesn’t matter which one) you’ll be able torecruit Warriorsmilling around near Village Fountains. They’re great in a fight, so unlock them right away!

Retaking A Village Is Easier Than Defending It

If the piglins attack multiple Villages in a single night, there’s a pretty good chance you won’t be able to save both. If a Village is occupied, you can always free it bydriving off the piglins and repairing the Fountain.

Since retaking a Village requires you todefeat a set number of piglinsinstead of surviving several waves, it’s actually much easier to let a Village fall and then take it back right away. The only downside is that youwon’t get the extra resourcesthat you’d normally be rewarded with for successfully repelling an attack, but that’s not a major loss.
