Craft Survival Tools

In the early goings of your adventure, you will only haveRyza’s Staffto break pots, smash small rocks, andgather resourceswith. Despite being essential items, these Survival Tools do not need to be perfect or of the highest quality, at least not at first. Just crafting these at the start of your journey will substantially impact the rest of your adventure. You can always make new ones later when you gather more materials.

Be Mindful Of Your Basket

That being said, you should be mindful of yourBasket. You can see how much space is left inside of it in thebottom right cornerof your screen when you are out exploring the world. Yourinitial Basket limitis300and can beupgraded via the Skill Treelater. While this may seem like plenty of space, you will quickly learn that your Basket can and will fill up relatively quickly.

When your Basket doesreach its limit, you’re able to still collect new items. You will just have todiscard some items as you gather new ones, making it rather tedious anytime you defeat an enemy or harvest materials.Traveling back to Ryza’s Atelierwill store everythingyou have gathered in yourContainer, allowing you to go and collect even more resources. So, if youreach your Basket’s capacity, you shouldfast-travel back to your HQto offload everything. But you may want to learn more about Landmarks before doing so, which we will cover in the next section.

For now, let’s shift our focus to the fast-traveling aspect of Landmarks and how you can use them to your advantage when you are out exploring.

As covered above, you willconstantly be fast traveling to your Atelierto offload your materials. However, this can get old quickly, especially if you aren’t seeking out Landmarks when you are going from point A to point B. The general rule of thumb is tohead to the nearest Landmark before fast traveling back to your Atlelier. You caninstantly warp back to it after you drop your resources off, allowing you to retain your progress to your next area.

Many Landmarks will have enemies that show up when you discover them, so make sure your party is in good health before discovering them. It should also be noted that Landmarks might also have Normal and Random Quests nearby, which can be an excellent source of SP and materials, so you should always seek them out when possible.
