No spoilers here, but despite the writers of the adaptation previously revealingseason three will include content not seen in The Witcher games or books, its story will still be based on something long-time fans are familiar with. How many of those long-time fans will actually be watching is currently unknown, though. The show’s willingness to stray from the source material has some fans so up in arms that they’re urging people to boycott season three.
Not remaining faithful to the games and the books isn’t the only problem people have, of course. Season three will bethe final outing for Henry Cavill as Geraltas the actor will make way for Liam Hemsworth in season four. The recasting continues to not sit well with a lot of fans. Fans who may not watch after season three, or could stop watching before Cavill has even departed.
