Best Physical Persona
Though you’ll need to wait until7/10to unlock the Pentagon Fusion method required to makeYoshitsune, the juice is more than worth the squeeze.
Yoshitsune’s signature moveis calledHassou Tobi, and it’s thestrongest physical attacknot only in Persona 4 Golden, but inmostPersonagames. While it dealslight physical damage, it’s amulti-target movethat landseight timeper foe to output an impressive level of physical damage in one move.
If you’ve only got one enemy to face, go forBrave Bladeinstead, which is asingle-targetattack that dealssevere physical damage. Either way, pair both attacks withPower Chargeto make them deal250 percent damagefor even more power.
One of only two Personas in P4G that can learnHeat Risertoboost one ally’s attack, defense,andevasion for three turns(the other being Trumpeter), you’ll earn additional bonuses forfusing it on one of two datesaccording to theFusion Forecast.
It isn’t just Yoshitsune who cangain added skills when fused on set dates!
Be sure to speak to the residents of the Velvet Room about thefusion forecastregularly to learn when you may be able to gain bonus skills for certain Personas on set dates.
Offensively, Yoshitsune is astounding as well. Itrepels both electric and lightmagic, whileblocking physicalandresisting fire. It hasno weaknesses, making it hard to exploit with downs and critical hits.

Best Fire Persona
While no longer the Ultimate Persona of the Magician arcana in P4G,Surtstill brings the heat with some of the best fire magic in the game. It can be fused beginning atLv. 69.
Ragnarokonce again remainsSurt’s signature movein P4G, dealingsevere fire damage. While it’s asingle-targetmove, you’re able to supplement this withMaragidyneif you need a strong multi-target fire attack. Regardless, its fire power increases significantly once it picks upFire AmpatLv. 75.
Surt is also a pretty reliablephysical Personaas well, knowingDeathboundto dealheavy physical damageandHigh Counterto give it a chance to repel physical moves.
Innately, Surtrepels firewhileblocking wind. When fused, it’sweak to ice, but it learnsNull IceatLv. 76to negate this weak spot.

Your reward formaxing the Fool arcanaby seeing at least theNormal Endingof P4G,Lokitakes a while to access, but the wait is more than worth it. You can fuse him beginning atLv. 64.
The only Persona capable of learningNiflheimin P4G, theultimate ice skill, Loki boosts his ice damage output withIce Ampto really freeze his foes. He doesn’t learn Niflheim untilLv. 70, but he’s gotBufudyneandMabufudyneto close the gap.
Defensively, Loki the Trickster God will be tough for your enemies to handle. Heabsorbs iceattacks while completelyblocking dark. Additionally, he’s gotSharp Studentto lower his odds of sustaining a crit, withHigh Counteron top of it for a good chance to bounce physical attacks back at his attacker.
Loki is stillweak to fire, so choose when to use him wisely until he picks upNull FireatLv. 69.

Legendary brother of the Persona above,Thoris one hell of a powerhouse in P4G.
Not only do you retain some trulyimpressive physical mightwith Thor, but you’ll also have access toThunder Reign, which is thestrongest electric attackin P4G. Thor will learn it atLv. 70.
Until then, he’s gotZiodyneandMaziodyneto carry him through. Additionally, you’ve got greatphysical attackson Thor as well, withDeathboundeasy to pair withArms Masterto sever the HP price. You’ve also got a layer of defense withHigh Counterand his eventualNull Physical.
Thor will alwaysabsorb electric magic, and heresists physicalright up until he learns to outright cancel it with Null Physical. Mind hiswind weakness, and Thor will carry the team to shocking heights.

Best Wind Persona
Once again serving as theUltimate Personafrom theEmperor arcana, as represented by your social link withKanji Tatsumi,Odinis uniquely capable of using the strongest wind move in P4G.
Panta Rheiis thesevere-level wind movein the Persona series, and while it belonged to other Personas in different titles, it’sOdin’s special movein Persona 4 Golden.
Interestingly, Odin also retains his usualelectric magichere as well, making him a combination powerhouse if you’re trying to save space in your Persona stock.
UsingMind Chargebefore any of Odin’s wind moves, especially withWind Ampas a passive skill in the background toboost wind damage by 50 percent, can make his wind magic hit particularly hard.
In P4G, Odinabsorbs windmagic while completelyblocking electricmagic. Just be mindful of hisweakness to firethat he does not naturally learn to negate, and you’ll be as all-powerful as the Allfather himself.

Best Light Magic Persona
Consistently one of, if notthebest light magic Persona in most Persona titles,Daisoujouis invaluable when it comes to dealing light damage.
Samsarais Daisoujou’ssignature move, which has a base60 percent chance to insta-kill each foe with light magic. While it won’t learn the move untilLv. 67after beingfused at Lv. 60, you’ll have access toHamaonandMahamaonto tide you over until then.
Shortly before learning Samsara, Daisoujou will also naturally learn the passive skill,Hama Boost, which makeslight magic 1.5x more effective.
Whenpairing Hama Boost with Samsara, the already heavy-hittingSamsara becomes 90 percent effectivefor insta-kills, making it a pivotal tool indispatching large groupsof enemies.
Daisoujou canblock both dark and fire magicinnately. He isweak to dark, but he’ll learnEndure DarkatLv. 63, allowing you tosurvive one dark insta-killper battle.

After taking the title in Persona 3 as well,Aliceonce again returns as your most powerful dark magic-using Persona.
TheUltimate Personafrom theDeath arcana, progressed in your social link withHisano Kuroda, Alice’ssignature moveis calledDie for Me!, and it’s thestrongest dark movein P4G.
While Alice will knowMamudoonuntil she learns Die for Me! atLv. 79, you’ll want to focus on her signature move once you get it. Die for Me! has a60 percent chance to insta-kill a foe with dark magic, up significantly from Mamudoon’s 40 percent chance.
But you’ll want to keepMudo Booston Alice as well, because if she uses Die for Me! with Mudo Boost, the probability of instantly killing all the foes on the field jumps to a90 percent chance for instant deathfor each enemy in battle.
Alice isweak to light magic, but this can be countered withEndure Light, which she learns atLv. 75. She alsorepels dark magicback at any foes, giving her additional chances to inflict dark-based insta-kills in battle.

Best Persona For Almighty Damage
Most Persona titles see almighty damage being something of a superseding element, since it’salmost impossible to block. P4G’s almighty magic seems a bit weaker than other titles in the series, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its place.
If you’re trying to pack as much almighty punch as possible, tryHelel. The final Persona of theStar arcanafrom your social link withTeddie, Helel isn’t available until12/5, but it becomes a cruciallypowerful late-game Personafor reliable magic damage that cannot efficiently be blocked.
Morning Staris P4G’sstrongest almighty-damaging movethat isexclusive to Helel. It learns Morning Star atLv. 94.
It also knowsMaragidynefor fire magic, as well asGod’s Handfor physical damage, making Helel a fairly well-rounded choice for overall damage as well.
In terms of affinities, Helelblocks fire, light, and dark damageentirely, while alsoresisting physical. It isweak to wind, but it learnsRepel WindatLv. 91to turn its weakness into an offense, reversing the attack back at the user.
