Updated July 12, 2025, by Andrew Scariati:The best dual wield weapons Elden Ring has to offer received a shakeup in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as powerfulbosses like Promised Consort Radahn are best defeated by using weapons that can break their poise.

11Golden Halberds

Dual-wielding weapons in Elden Ring can push the boundaries of what may seem possible. Wielding two halberds simultaneously has never felt better in the Souls series. With their long reach, it makes it easy to distance yourself from harder enemies, as well as attack them when they try to escape.

Powerstancing requires two weapons of the same classand grants new moves, whiledual-wielding can include any weaponsfrom different classes.

The Golden Halberd is an excellent Faith weaponthat is obtainable early bykilling the Tree Sentinel in Limgrave. If you may’t get a second, you can always defer to using another halberd or spear in the offhand, with theGolden Halberdin the right hand to give you the attack and defense boost through its Ash of War, Golden Vow.

10Hoslow’s Petal Whips

Another of Elden Ring’s best dual-wield weapons that provides a good way to distance yourself from enemies is Hoslow’s Whips. Whips don’t only deal great damage but also offer a unique move set that’s fun to use in PvE and hard to counter in PvP.

Hoslow’s Petal Whips are among some of the best in their category, giving passive bleed damage as you crack your foes with these bad boys. One of the razor-sharp chain link blades can be found after defeating Juno Hoslow with the other being dropped by his brother Diallos.

9Godskin Peelers (Or Twinblades)

If the name “Godskin Peeler” isn’t already menacing enough, imagine when there are two in the hand of the wielder. TheGodskin Peeleris an all-around great twinblade with a unique moveset from the others.

Although the Godskin Apostle in Windmill Village drops the only one, it can be paired with another great dual-wield weapon, such as Eleanora’s Poleblade, allowing you to perform deadly flurries in combat.

8Katanas

Slicing and dicing your opponent with katanas is always a good time. Whether it’sa standard katana with your favorite Ash of War or a unique one like the Rivers of Blood, the dual wield move set when using most of the katanas utilizes both swords in each attack.

The fastest way to obtain two katanas is bystarting as a Samurai and then finding the second Uchigatanain the game. After using these, you can seek out others that align with your playstyle and character build.

7Starscourge Greatswords

When powerstancing two of these greatswords, your strength ascends to the likes of a demigod. WieldingGeneral Radahn’s weapons he used to fight Maleniamakes you the boss that all enemies will fear.

The Starcaller Cry Ash of War on these swords looks awesome, and staggers your enemies, leaving them vulnerable and open to get slammed with a heavy attack. Though it requires some investment in the intelligence stat, you may pick these up by transposing General Radahn’s Remembrance and duplicating it to obtain a second at a Mausoleum.

6Prelate’s Inferno Cozier And Giant Crusher

These two great hammers have been making their way onto the PvP scene. These dual-wield weapons create an easy way to clear out certain bosses by breaking their stance and following up with a massive bonk to the head.

These weaponsrequire a great amount of strengthto wield but are well worth it when you see the damage dealt in a single attack. Paired with the Lion’s Claw Ash of War, also referred to as the “Artorias Flip”, these slammers can take someone out with one use of the skill.

5Spiked Caestus

If swords and blades aren’t your thing, you may always give your opponent a good ol’ one-two! Sparking the fight with fisticuffs is not only super aggravating to your opponent but also tremendously confusing to counter, as not many enemies are used to getting repeatedly decked in the face by a real melee build.

This is one of the best Elden Ring weapons to dual-wield on frustration factor alone.

TheSpiked Caestusweapon is obtainable through the isolated merchant in Dragonbarrow, yet other fist-type weapons in the world are just as powerful, such as the Iron Ball and Star Fist. Equipping the Spiked Caestus and Star Fist will grant blood loss buildup alongside the satisfaction of wailing on your enemy.

4Scavenger’s Curved Swords

These swords act similar to the twinblades and katanas as the damage they deal out increases greatly with each successful hit. However, these blades have the bleed damage ability built into the steel. With this characteristic of innate bleed, the Scavenger’s Curved Swords can easily shred through enemies.

If you want to go full power with these, the ideal stat to invest in would be the Arcane stat, with the weapons having the Occult affinity. Since they already have the bleed effect, you’ll be outputting maximum physical damage and apply bleed incredibly fast.

3Greatswords Of Radahn (Lord & Light)

Once youdefeat Promised Consort Radahn, you’ll have access to theGreatsword of Radahn (Light)andGreatsword of Radahn (Lord), both options paying homage to one of Radahn’s attacks.

While you can also powerstance these weapons together, feel free to mix and match them with different options, particularly weapons suited to the particular enemies you’re fighting.

The Lord version boasts a multipart combo that brings Miquella’s Light raining down from above with each slash of your sword, carving a path of destruction through any foes. If you want to attack opponents continuously, either version works and should provide you with plenty of range to swing at enemies a few feet away.

2Black Knives

Black Knives are some of the best weapons to dual-wield in Elden Ring given their fast attack speed and an excellent Ash of War. TheBlade of Death Weapon Skillallows you to fire a projectile that will apply the same stat reductions as the Black Blade incantation.

The quick strikes of theBlack Knifeis excellent for close encounters with enemies, while the projectile provides flexibility if they retreat. Patch 1.08 even increased the speed of these weapons, making them much faster to swing with improved recovery time.

You canacquire a Black Knife by defeating the Black Knife Assassinat the entrance to the Sainted Hero’s Grave on the Altus Plateau.
