That’s why the mods are a blessing. Since Stardew Valley isn’t a game that focuses on fighting, its combat might not be your favorite thing. But there are a bunch of mods that help spice up the experience, whether in function or simply in fashion.

7Fastestboi’s Additional Weapons

Each weapon in Stardew Valley has different strengths and functions, but there isn’t a lot to choose from.Fastestboi’s Additional Weapons by Fastestboiadds seven new weapons for you to try out. If you’re tired of typical weapons like swords and daggers, many of these add more flair.

You can wield a baseball bat, a bloody butcher knife, and even wands that have randomized chances of hitting for low or high damage. The point of the mod is to add some fun without the weapons being overpowered, so you don’t have to worry about that if you still want the normal challenge of Stardew Valley’s battles.

6Nightmare’s Additional Weaponry

One slightly weak point of the weapons that Stardew Valley offers is that their looks are a little lackluster. Eventhe powerful onesdon’t look as cool as they sound.Nightmare’s Additional Weaponry by zcsnightmarefixes that by giving you a ton of awesome skins for your weapons.

Some look suitable for a powerful barbarian, while others would match an evil overlord or magical girl perfectly. They’re much more suited for roleplay purposes too, if that’s your kind of thing.

There are 63 of these retextures in total, so there are bound to be at least a few you’ll like.

5Treasure Hoarder Weapons

Sometimes, you need a little extra incentive to put up with slaying monsters. Or maybe you just like using weapons that have bonus effects.

Either way,Treasure Hoarder Weapons by aedenthornhas got you covered. This mod adds three weapons based on the dagger, sword, and club that reward you with coins every time you hit or defeat a monster.

One of them even has a chance of dropping ores when a monster is defeated! Instead of having to farm for two separate things, this mod combines two aspects into one to quicken the pace. Plus, it just feels satisfying to see your results in the form of dropped coins.

4Weapons On Display

With all the glorious weapon designs that other modders provide, it feels like a waste not to be able to share your collection with others. That’s where theWeapons on Display mod by by GrendGcomes in.

Stardew Valley lets you display some weapons on tables, and this mod allows you to do that with weapons too.

You can even have an entire room dedicated to displaying your weapons, sort of like a mini museum of deadliness. Being able to show off your style with weapons is definitely a unique choice, and it’s honestly pretty cool.

3Gorgeous Weapons

As previously mentioned, most of the weapon designs you get in the game lack a certain pizzazz. There are mods that give you a variety of different skins to make up for that, but what if you want theGalaxy Swordto actually look like a Galaxy Sword, just nicer? There’s a mod for that, too.

2Non-Lethal Weapons

It’s also quite helpful for times when your slime hutch gets attacked. Since it’s frustratingly easy to kill your own slimes while fending off monsters in there, these weapons will at least ensure they remain alive while you wack at your enemies.

1Angel’s Weapon Rebalance

Rather than adding more weapons or skins,Angel’s Weapon Rebalance by ArchAngelKiragisbasically revamps the way weapons and their drops work to make more sense. Swords aren’t as overpowered, daggers have higher crit stats, and hammers repel enemies you hit away from you.

Weapon drops also make more sense with where you get them. You won’t have to wonder why you got a weaker weapon drop on a more advanced floor than the one that dropped 50 floors ago.

Another goal of this mod is to make every weapon and profession viable, instead of the typical one everyone uses, you know the one. Needless to say, this mod can be a game-changer that breathes more life into Stardew Valley.
