Minecraftis one of the most popular games of all time. It actually has its own VR support when playing in Bedrock Edition. Its VR settings are a bit limited, however.Vivecraftis a mod that removes those limitations.

Instead of simply playing with a keyboard and mouse in VR, you can use the VR controllers to do actions. Vivecraft gives you the power to scale down to the size of an ant or up to the size of a giant. You’re also capable of swinging your arms to attack mobs or break blocks with your hands and pickaxe.

9Lambda1 For Half-Life

TheHalf-Lifeseries is phenomenal. You’re probably one of those eagerly waiting for the third iteration that may never come. Instead ofhoping for Half-Life 3, you can experience the first game in a brand-new way with virtual reality.

Lambda1is a Half-Life mod that adds VR support to the groundbreaking title. It delivers motion controls, so you may properly aim and fire your weapons in VR. You can slam enemies with a blunt object and watch them crumble as this decades-old game looks better than ever.

8Team Beef For Doom

Doomis one of the games credited for starting the dungeon-style first-person shooter craze. It is highly regarded in the overall gaming landscape, with plenty of sequels to show for it. It’s hard to beat the feeling of the very first one, though, especially in VR.

Team Beefis a series of mods that give classic titles virtual reality. Use the Team Beef Doom mod, and you’ll be blasting the monsters from hell through your own eyes. Instead of controlling Doomguy,you get to be Doomguy.

7Native VR For Subnautica: Below Zero

The originalSubnauticareceived a lot of praise for its VR support. For some reason, that same support did not follow withSubnautica: Below Zero. Thankfully, theNative VR modthrough Nexus Mods makes it easy to add the option.

6Praydog For Resident Evil 2

Praydogoffers mods for almost everyResident Evilgame. There’s just something aboutResident Evil 2that makes it stand out over others in the series regarding VR. It is a terrifying game. If you want to scare yourself with unmatched VR horror, this is your calling.

The mod for Resident Evil 2 delivers full first-person support with motion controls. It is easy for a zombie to sneak up behind you or for the exit to be missed as your eyes deceive you through the VR goggles. The darkness you’ll find in the VR mod truly makesthis horror experienceworth your while.

5BrianMP16 For Ocarina Of Time

So many of gaming’s greatest titles have received VR mods in recent years. Add another to that list withThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This Nintendo 64 classic is arguably Link’s best adventure, and you can experience it in a new way with amod by BrianMP16.

You’ll feel like you’ve been placed directly in the 64-bit version of Hyrule from the original.With an older titlelike this one, it can get a bit buggy, but there’s no denying that this is a virtual reality mod every Zelda fan should get their hands on. Placing yourself behind the eyes of Link is too good to pass up.

4REFramework For Resident Evil Village

REFrameworkis a PC mod that adds VR to many Resident Evil titles. Its mod forResident Evil Villageis perhaps its most coveted achievement. The game already takes on the first-person perspective of Ethan Winters, but now you get to jump into his shoes as he tries to save his daughter from the mysterious village they’ve found themselves in.

The entire point of virtual reality is to play the part of a game’s main character. Instead of sitting on your couch twiddling the joysticks, you see and do what they do without any distractions from your living room. Facing off against Lady Dimitrescu or seeing The Duke’s size in-person for the first time is much more satisfying when you’re using REFramework to add VR.

3REAL VR For GTA 5

REAL VRhas mods for a slew of PC games. One of the most famous mods was forGrand Theft Auto 5. Unfortunately, legal problems forced them to discontinue support for GTA 5, among other titles, but users have kept older versions alive through the Internet Archive.

You won’t find any future updates if you encounter issues, but with the REAL VR mod for GTA 5, you can head to Los Santos with a first-person view like no other. You’ll get to steal a chopper, evade the police, andbail out with your parachutein an immersive virtual reality setting. It’s incredible.

2VorpX For Cyberpunk 2077

DespiteCyberpunk 2077’srocky launch, its popularity cannot be understated. The amount of play styles, character builds, and customization in the CD Projekt RED title is astounding. Now, turn the first-person perspective into virtual reality, and you’ll feel like a resident of Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 gets a VR mod through REAL VR, like so many others, but theVorpX modis better. REAL VR doesn’t come with motion controls, whereas VorpX does. With it, you and Johnny Silverhand can take down the corpos like never before.

1VR Injector For Unreal Engine

The most ambitious VR project in recent memory is theUnreal Engine VR Injector. In conjunction with Praydog, this mod gives a virtual reality function to every flat-screen game that runs onUnreal Engine4 or 5. That’s a lot of games.

It is currently in its beta phase, with testers sharing what it’s capable of through their social media profiles. The likes ofJedi Fallen Order,Stray,Grounded, and so many more are playable in virtual reality with the Injector. If you’re VR mod savvy, you may grab the beta file from one of the sites that have uploaded it on their own, but it won’t have the same support as the official version, so be careful.
