Tamer Skills make the game a little more playable and a little less stressful and one of its categories is Trainer Skills. This category will prove useful once you unlock them in your journey in the Digital World. Now before you spend all your TP mindlessly on Trainer Skills, verify to know more about it first.

What Are Trainer Skills?

Trainer Skillsare a category of Tamer Skills thatprimarily focuses on being the best Digimon Tamer you can be. Trainer Skills range from boosting your training effects to raising the parameters of your Digimon when Digivolving. If you are a gym nut and love to take care of your partner Digimon, Trainer Skills are the perfect fit for your playstyle.

The Trainer Skills category is further divided intothree sub-categoriesnamely:Teacher Type, Life-Care Type, and Evolving Type. Each sub-category has a primary focus, and it is important to know which you will prioritize more than the other. There area total of 15 skillsin this category that are extremely beneficial to any Digimon Tamer.

Teacher Type

TheTeacher Typesub-category mainly focuses on thetraining effectson your partner Digimon. This comes in handy if you want to focus on training your Digimon to their fullest potential. There area total of six skillsunder Teacher Type with each having unique bonuses for training.

ThePower Trainertamer skill is pretty straightforward. However, it increases the effects oftwo of the most important parametersof your Digimon.

Life-Care Type subcategory in Digimon World: Next Order

Getting this skill early on is beneficial for your training to be more effective.

TheSTRstat lets you dish out more damage and theSPDstat makes your Digimon act faster in battle.

Evolving Type subcategory of Digimon World: Next Order

Boosts effects of WIS and MP training.

Similar to the Power Trainer skill,Intellect Trainerworks the same way. Itincreases the effects of WIS and MP training, raising the parameters your Digimon gets.

If you are planning to further increase the parameters of your Digimon, considergetting this skill early in the game.

WISreduces theMPcost of skills, increases the chance ofGuarding, and increases thecritical-hit ratewhileMPraises your Digimon’s max MP.

Boosts effects of HP and STA training.

Just like Power Trainer and Intellect Trainer,Toughness Trainerboosts the parameters of your HP and STA training. Both of these parametershelp your Digimon tank more hits and last longer in battles.

Consider getting Toughness Trainerearly along with the other two skillsto have an easier time in training your Digimon.

HPis the health your Digimon has andSTAreduces the damage your Digimon takes.

Reduces fatigue from training.

Fatigue Careis not a priority skill to get, especially in the early game.

Since you will be in the Training Hall for a long time in the early game,you can rest anytimeyou need to reduce yourDigimon’s Fatigue.

This skill is more of aluxury skillthat you can get in the late game.

Further boosts effects of critical training

WhileLuck Boosterlooks good at first glance, it isnot importantto get it early on.

Luck Boosterincreases the stat modifiers while training, but it doesn’t increase stat gain from battling.

Just like Fatigue Care, it is more of aluxury skill, and you can consider getting Luck Booster in the mid-late game.

Further boosts effects of all forms of training

Master Traineris agood skill to have, but it costs a lot just to get it.

As itfurther increases the effects of all forms of training, the time you will spend in the Training Hall will be significantly reduced.

However, with itshigh cost, you may consider taking Master Trainer when you have a surplus of TP in the late game.

Life-Care Type

TheLife-Care Typesub-category primarilyfocuses on you taking good care of your partner Digimon. Some of the skills under the Life-Care Type arenot as useful as the others, but it is nice to have rather than not. To make up for its lack of usefulness, the skills under this subcategory are prettylow-cost.

Boosts Mood when eating

If youlove seeing your Digimon happyafter a meal, you can consider gettingEating Care.

It is useful for your Digimon to have amaxed-out Mood stat, so it can be a good skill to have.

However, given the more beneficial effects of other Tamer Skills, Eating Care isnot a good early investment.

Boosts Mood when using the bathroom

Similar to Eating Care,Bathroom Careboosts the mood of your Digimonafter using the bathroom.

However, Bathroom Care ismore limitedthan Eating Care because Mega Digimon does not have to go to the bathroom anymore.

While it is tempting to get due to its low cost, it isnot recommended to have this skill earlyin the game.

Boosts HP, MP, and Fatigue recovery from sleeping

As the name suggests,Sleep Careboosts yourHP, MP, and Fatigue recovery from sleeping.

While it is nice to have, it isnot a great skill to have early in the game.

Considergetting the other useful skills firstbefore spending your TP in Sleep Care.

Boosts effects of scolding and praising

Affectionhelps you to achieve theproper mood and discipline statsneeded for certainDigivolutions, but that is all there is to it.

Similar to the other Life-Care Type skills, it is not as useful as others, and it isnot recommended to prioritize it.

Eating Care, Bathroom Care, Sleep Care, Affection

Boosts Bond and DigiFriend whenever eating, using the bathroom, or sleeping.

Life Masteris a pretty good skill to have as itincreases the Bond and DigiFriend stats.

These stats areneeded for ExE Cross Evolvewhich is a powerful tool in battles.

If you arestruggling to activate ExE Cross Evolve, you can consider getting this skill to progress further in the game.

Evolving Type

TheEvolving Typesub-category focuses on Digivolving. The skills under Evolving Type are one of themust-haves early in the game. The benefits of Evolving Type skills solely focus onincreasing the parameters gained from Digivolving. Although it costs a hefty amount of TP, these skills make up for it withgame-changing beneficial effects. If you want to have an easier time progressing through the game, you may add theEvolving Typeskills to your priority list.

Good Digivolutionis amust-have in the early gamesince Digivolving is one of the constants in the game.

The stat increases you gain from Good Digivolution willshorten the timeyou will spend on Training Sessions.

Itreduces the grind and helps you have an easier timefighting enemy Digimon.

Parameters rise when partners Digivolve into a Digimon for the first time

While it looks good on paper, Digivolving a Digimon for the first timedoes not happen frequently.

While it isnot as usefulas Good Digivolution, it isstill important to get this skill earlyon to unlock the other Evolving Type Skills.

Good Digivolution, Fresh Digivolution

Parameters rise when partners Digivolve into a Digimon for the second time and thereafter.

Contrary to Fresh Digivolution,Digivolution Veteran is extremely useful at any stage of the game.

This skill iseasily activatedespecially if you have a favorite Digivolution Tree.

Parameters rise even more when partners Digivolve

Great Digivolutionis one of themost useful skillsin the game. While it is extremely useful, the costs of the Evolving Type skills are already steep.

Add into that the15 TP cost of Great Digivolutionand you are looking at spending almost all of your TP in the early game.

Due to itshigh cost, you can consider getting Great Digivolution in themid-late stages of the game.
