Warframe’sMirror Defense mission type has a Warframe and two weapons for players to chase, one of which is the Steflos. This projectile shotgun is a fast-firing variant of the Arca Plasmor and Catchmoon Kitgun, increasing its projectile speed with each target hit. Room-clearing is this weapon’s specialty.

With that said, the Steflos has mediocre stats and will require a high-investment build to see any results. This guide will showcase how to get your hands on the Steflos, how the weapon works alongside base stats, and we’ll showcase an endgame loadout that makes the Steflos viable for Arbitrations and other tough activities.
How To Obtain The Steflos
All Steflos parts drop from Tyana Pass,a Mirror Defense nodeon Mars. The Steflos blueprint can drop from Rotation A, and the weapon’s core components drop from Rotation B. If none of the parts drop for you, all Steflos parts may be purchased from Otak at the Necralisk. Each component costs 150 Rania Crystals and 250 Belric Crystals, currencies earned by playing Mirror Defense. The main blueprint costs 300 Rania Crystals and 500 Belric Crystals.

The Steflos is a shotgun that fires an energy projectile, similar to the Arca Plasmor and Catchmoon Kitguns.Compared to those weapons, the Steflos features a fast fire rate, low base damage, low critical chance, and mediocre status chance. Building this weapon as a hybrid weapon with another source of additive critical chance is highly recommended.
Projectiles fired from the Steflos dissipate after 12 meters, although hitting targets will extend the projectile’s travel distance. The more enemies you hit, the further the projectile will travel. Shots feature enemy infinite punch through. In the hands of Citrine, this weapon’s projectiles gain increased travel distance. This stat can also be modified by equipping projectile speed mods.
Since this weapon’s base damage is quite low, the Steflos greatly benefits from damage-boosting Warframe abilities such asRhino’s Roar or Mirage’s Eclipse. Additive critical chance sources like Arcane Avenger also greatly improve the Steflos' overall consistency in endgame content.
Steflos Build
We do not recommend you invest this much Forma into the Steflos unless you love this weapon. Its damage is far under the Arca Plasmor,Tenet Arca Plasmor, and nearly all Catchmoon Kitguns. Wait for potential buffs.
If you want to make the Steflos a competitive weapon in Steel Path, you’ll need a lot of Forma, a way to strip armor, and a way to gain additive critical chance. Let’s start with the weapon build itself.
This is a standardcritical/status hybrid build for a shotgun. We usePrimed Point Blankto give this weapon some much-needed damage to get yourPrimary MercilessandGalvanized Hellstacks going. We aren’t using Galvanized Savvy since the weapon can only inflict three status types. If you’re playing a Warframe that infuses other elemental damage into the Steflos, you might consider using Galvanized Savvy instead.
Our elements will beViral and Heat, ramping up our damage with subsequent shots. We specifically usePrimed Chilling Grasp, Toxic Barrage, andVolcanic Blastto strike a balance between damage and status chance. Thanks to the Steflos' high fire rate, we can quickly apply these Viral stacks to ramp up our damage. We also useBlazeto scale the weapon’s base damage while giving the Steflos more Heat damage.
Getting more damage out of this weapon is tough, so we’ll need some outside help.Arcane Avengeris an excellent source of additive critical chance, giving us 45% flat critical chance while active. If you use the Combat Discipline aura and have some way of healing yourself, you can have permanent uptime on this Arcane. This makes the Steflos a viable critical/status hybrid. We useCritical Decelerationto improve our critical chance to 42% (87% with Arcane Avenger active).Primed Ravagewill buff our critical damage, making our shots deal quadruple damage when they critically hit.
Finally, we recommend usingGalvanized Accelerationin the Exilus slot to extend the range of the Steflos' projectiles. Maximum stacks of this mod should give you roughly 23 meters of base range, extended further when your shots hit multiple enemies. This build should turn the Steflos into a respectable weapon in tight corridors and small rooms. If you want to bring this gun into the Steel Path, we recommend subsuming Rhino’s Roar or some armor-stripping ability to give the Steflos as much help as possible. Once again, we only recommend doing all of this if you love this weapon. If you’re looking for a good shotgun, get the Tenet Arca Plasmor or a Catchmoon Kitgun.
