Like most good RPGs,Cassette Beastshosts a slew of side quests ranging from the seconds-long to the hourly epics. To get the most out of the game, you’ll want to do them all, but such diligence isn’t always easy. Maybe you’re quite busy IRL and only have a bit of gaming time per week. Or maybe you play so many different games, you really need to know the best content in each, so you can move on to the next.

Either way, we’ve got you. Prioritize these side quests above the rest to maximize your success on New Wirral, friends.

Cassette Beasts Hoylake On the Hunt

On The Hunt

After Kayleigh introduces you to Ranger Headquarters in Harbourtown, you should head through the door in the back, which sends you to an upper platform whereHoylakecan be found. Introductions are exchanged, after which Hoylake tasks you with locating a specific Cassette Beast and recording it for him.

‘On the Hunt’ is a series of five such missionswhich will bring you across some of the early parts of New Wirral, rewarding you for your catches. But far more important is what its completion unlocks -after ‘On the Hunt’ is taken care of, Hoylake will thereafter reward players for record quantity milestoneslike Pokemon Professors who reward good old-fashioned catches.

Cassette Beasts Bulletin Board

These rewards include ampleFused Materialsand far more, so be sure to jump on this quest immediately.

A Little Inspiration

This one’s simple. You’re tasked with checking out a cave in the park area after you notice one of the three Harbourtown sticker merchants is missing. Just go to the right area, tackle a requisite puzzle or two if you can’t reach a certain spot, and you’ll rescue the merchant in due time.

What makes this pertinent isthis merchant effectively adds another full suite of ever-changing stickers to peruse, some of which can only be acquired through them. Don’t lock yourself out of a full daily selection!

Cassette Beasts Kayleigh Quest

I Ran So Far Away

‘I Ran So Far Away’ isKayleigh’s personal quest, and so long as you keep her with you sometimes, she’ll eventually divulge enough about herself either at campfires and/or the Gramophone Cafe table that you’ll learn she needs to reachMourningtownto settle an old score against a mad lad named Dorian.

Not only is the story pretty engrossing, but you’ll ultimately need to do this one way or the other, as it unlocks an Archangel. Most important of all, it gives you access to a new merchant in Mourningtown as well asfurther heart levels for fusion strength with Kayleigh.

Cassette Beasts Cherry Meadow

The One With The Church

If there’s a side quest directly tied to this, we haven’t discovered it (yet), so no, there’s no actual quest titled ‘The One With The Church’. That’s all us. What matters is thatit takes place at the abandoned church called Glastainbury Abbey in the Cherry Meadowportion of New Wirral.

Don’t come here until you’re at least level 40, with a capable team and a full stock of restoratives.Solve a simple puzzle with the Electromagnetism puzzle to summon a very powerful Cassette Beast.

Cassette Beasts Jumpkin Patch

It’s an avian Glass-type, and it can get enough shattered glass on the battleground to really cripple your team shockingly quickly. But persevere, and one of the game’s equivalents of ‘legendary Pokemon’ is all yours.

…And The One With The Bridge

This is another of those side quests that so small, it doesn’t have an official name (that we can find). But it’s a pretty important one, trust us.When you’ve explored enough of New Wirral to find the Piper Farm, which is just west of Harbourtown but across enough obstacles that you can’t get there until much later in the game, you’ll want to interact with the bridge that’s drawn up inoperablynearby.

Mr. Piper informs you that it’s stuck. Heal up andwalk right into the weird ooze puddle beside the bridge. You’ll fight a few monsters. Afterward, the bridge to Harbourtown is opened, unlocking a great shortcut.

Your real prize, however, is thatyou can now fiddle with the pumpkin crops, which leads you to fights with Jumpkins. Record a Jumpkin and you get the Vine Climb Ball ability, something that can help you up otherwise-insurmountable heights as you explore.
