Chosen as the main protagonist’s color across theBattle Spirits Sagaseries, the red deck represents aggression, destruction, and the fight for freedom. Featuring the fire-breathing dragon marshals of the star tribe, red Spirits possess higher than average BP, and a special set of Nexus cards to amplify them even further.

Red also features two very important keywords: Awaken, which allows you to use cores from other Spirits, and sometimes even your opponent, and Confront, a taunt-like mechanic which forces your opponent to retaliate or perish. But inBattle Spirits Saga, deck building is an art in and of itself. Here are the best ten red cards you can use to win.
10Flamefish
Flamefish is an excellent early game remover, packing a big punch for enemy Spirits with 4000 BP or less. At the cheap cost of one core after reduction and a soul core placed on the card, it is unheard of that a card this affordable can let you easily take hard hitters off the field.
When you’re playing against aggressive strategists who roll out the reds to tank your lineup, Flamefish is an irreplaceable ally in your deck. It is also a known counter to Freezstal, a powerful yellow card that gives you options when your two-cost cards are destroyed.

9Divine Halberd Dragon Arc
Divine Halberd Dragon Arc is another card that is especially useful early on in the game. Targeting two-cost cards, which a lot of players strategically pack up on as a frontline and buff up using Nexus cards, Divine Halberd Dragon Arc is one of those dragon cards that are designed to give you the upper hand.

To play it, you have a choice between two moves: use it to guard your and your opponent’s lives against attacks from Spirits with 2000 BP or lower, or use it to destroy one of your opponent’s Spirits with 2000 BP or lower. Like Flamefish, shuffling two or three of Divine Halberd Dragon Arc into your deck is a great idea.
8Big Bang Energy
Big Bang Energy breathes life into your attack when you’re breathing your last. By changing the cost of all the Star Dragons in your hand to your life’s total, you may use it, and your newly affordable allies, to fend for yourself after a rough turn.
In addition to giving you a second wind, Big Bang Energy gives a Spirit of your choice a 2000 BP boost, which can be very useful in specific match-ups, and a lifesaver when you’re down to a few cards on the field and need to strategize your next attack accordingly.

7Scorched Battlefield
Scorched Battlefield is an irreplaceable card in your deck at every point in the game. By giving all your Spirits a 1000 BP boost, it can give you an edge when you’re starting out, turn the game around when you’re deep into battle, and be the difference between winning and losing when you’re down to the last few turns.
To sweeten the pot, Scorched Battlefield also lets you draw a card when you reduce an opponent’s life, making it an essential drawing engine and allowing you to cycle faster through your deck and not have to waste valuable turns without a proper strategy in place.

6Burning Force
Burning Force is the perfect Magic card, giving you a choice between destroying a Nexus card or two Spirits packing 3000 BP or lower as part of a main or a flash attack. This little option might sound insignificant, but the flash effect lets you interrupt an opponent’s turn, potentially stopping it from taking out an important pawn in your bigger strategy.

Likewise, it is used to delay your opponent’s strategy, which can be vital against aggressive red players who build attack decks that don’t recuperate well when challenged. Its LV1 effect is also essential, making it one of the few Nexus removers in the deck that are equally useful in other ways.
5Volcanic Break
It is hard to find any deck without at least four Volcanic Break cards. This Magic card, which is aptly priced for mid-game attacks, lets you destroy either a 3000 BP Spirit or a 6000 BP Spirit, provided it has a soul core on it. In other words, it can save two or three of your other Spirits from perishing at the foot of an irate Rex at the measly cost of one soul core.
As its attacks are set as either main or flash, Volcanic Break teaches you your very first trick in strategic counters. You don’t always need to have it on the field, but when things get heavy, it helps to have it in hand with a soul core to spare just in case there are any plot twists.

4Volcanic Canyon
Volcanic Canyon is another drawing engine with a perk: it allows you to draw an additional card and throw out one from your hand. During your LV2 attack step, all your Spirits also gain 1000 BP, which can give you an edge against an overpowered lineup and help you make the best use of your deck when it comes to dealing damage.
Its low cost, four cores with two possible reductions, also gives you the flexibility to play it as an extra card in snug turns where you have already given all there is to give. Pro players pack this special Nexus card to give themselves options when they’re cornered.

3Supernova Dragon Siegwurm Nova
Supernova Dragon Siegwurm Nova may be expensive, but it’s worth every core. It also packs Ascend, a keyword that allows you to sacrifice a Spirit with six or more cores to play this card. In return, you get an Awaken flash attack, the ability to heal up to five of your lives, and the power to destroy as many Spirits as you want as long as they have a combined BP of 10,000 or less.

Supernova Dragon Siegwurm Nova represents the core strength of the red deck, manipulating core distribution to your advantage. With proper care, this dragon can live for many turns, andburn even morein its wake.
2Raging Dino Dyrano Rex
All red decks are built around a Rex, and the Raging Dino Dyrano Rex is one that inspires fear in the heart of your opponent the minute it treads out onto the field. Dealing a Confront from LV1 to LV3, your opponent has no choice but to deal with the situation. This can help you delay attacks for several turns, which easily happens if your opponent hasn’t had the time or resources to counter with another Rex.
Raging Dino Dyrano Rex is also an excellent LV3 deleter, allowing you to choose one of your opponent’s Spirits with 4000 BP or lower and destroy it.

1Jurassic King Gigano Rex
At first glance, it might look like the Jurassic King Gigano Rex is an expensive play, when in fact, it is every bit as affordable with the red deck’s handy core redistribution perk. By allowing you to count each symbol on your Terrasaur or Emperor Beast on the field as two, Jurassic King Gigano Rex easily follows three Spirits out on the field as soon as you can have them out there. If you only have one out, you can treat this as LV3.
And that’s just because your Jurassic Rex is still warming up. Its LV2 packs a Confront, which means your opponent has to block or start figuring out how to block before doing anything else, and its LV3 gives all of your Spirits a 3000 BP boost, letting you go in for the kill and finish the game.
