Where To Find Pre-War Food In Fallout 76

Fallout 76 doesn’t spawn food literally anywhere; theyall have predetermined ‘preferred’ locationsto spawn in. When wandering the wastes, try checking these places first.

Check Abandoned Houses

Aside from a few exceptions, bulk piles of food don’t exist. So you’re better offsearching many small places instead of one big place. Try houses! The kitchen and basement are the most likely places for food items to spawn. Additionally, opt for pre-war structures like houses and businesses. They are more likely to have pre-war material in general.

Check Red Rocket Truck Stops

The most reliable location to scour through would be the Red Rocket stops. They’re very consistent, often having some food items nearby.Don’t forget to check behind and under the counter.

To the Northeast, often has a lot of canned foods.

Sunday Brothers' Cabin

Southern end of the Mire, near Harper’s Ferry. The basement has a stockpile of preserved food.

To the North, Best with the Can-Do perk, given the countless trash cans.

Don’t want the wait? Try buying pre-war food! Provided you have the caps, these can be quick and efficient ways to get what you need. You can trythe general stores the robots operate in each train station, but our favorite spot to check isLe Grand Gourmetin the Whitespring shopping mall.

You can alsocheck other players' shopsif those spots run dry. They might be offering bulk numbers of pre-war food for reasonable prices. This is a very unpredictable method, though.

How To Farm Pre-War Food In Fallout 76

Worst case scenario, you’re able to make your own! Near theWest side of the map, just about Hillbilly Hot Dog, isSunshine Meadows Industrial Farm. This is a public workshop with one unique feature: it contains a food-making machine. Capture the workshop, build some generators, and power it up.

This option does, in a way, invite PvP to take place. Other players may try to challenge you for control of the workshop and the food machine.

It will take 40 power to operate.You can then use the nearby computer to select one of five food options, all pre-war food. Once it starts running, it willgenerate one item every three minutes.

If you restore power to thePoseidon Energy Plantin the Forest region, you will granta free 100 powerto select terminals throughout the wasteland, including in the Sunshine Meadows Industrial Farm. This can be a simpler way to get more than enough electricity to run the production line, but you’ll be at risk of losing that if you change servers.
