Phyrexia: All Will Be One was released with a ton of alternate art cards in the set, certainly among the most ever for aMagic: The Gatheringset. One of the variant types of cards you’re able to open in packs is the Ichor Showcase cards. These cards are unique for their inky, paint splatter style and heavily stylized look.

There are 40 cards from Phyrexia: All Will Be One that received the Ichor Showcase treatment, some of which are borderless. All the Ichor cards are stunning to behold and are a great addition to your collection or to your decks. Here’s a look at some of the best Ichor cards from Phyrexia: All Will Be One if you’re looking to upgrade your decks with some of the coolest cards ever printed.
10Necrogen Rotpriest
Fresh out of Phyrexia is Necrogen Rotpriest, a dangerous card for your opponents if you’re playing a toxic heavy deck by giving your opponents additional poison counters.
With this version of Necrogen Rotpriest you can blind your opponents with Dominik Mayer’s amazing use of negative space to outline the Rotpriest’s body and hands. Surrounding the Rotpriest, there appear to be pillars topped with people in some sort of corrupted devotion, perhaps some kind of place of worship or way of showing their devotion to Phyrexia.

9Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres
The story of Ezuri is shrouded in an orchestrated myth and exactly how much of a hero he was before becoming Compleated is up to debate, but there’s no debate where his allegiances lie now.
The PhyrexianElf is depicted here in shadesof blue and green, Ezuri’s new color identity now that he’s been compleated. Though not as physically twisted as many of the other Mirrans who have been embraced by Phyrexia, the art from JungShan shows off Ezuri’s fierce claws, with the black ink evoking images of a fresh kill.

8Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold
Before they fell to Phyrexia, Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold was once a hero of the nomadic Auriok people, protecting the stronghold of Bladehold with their fellow humans. Now that they have fallen to Phyrexia, Ria Ivor is a relentless hero of Phyrexian Mites.

The inky Ichor Showcase artwork by Jenn Ravenna Tran is filled with silky smooth and curving brush strokes and jagged, sharp points. Everything from the steed that Ria Ivor rides to her dagger-like fingers are dangerous to behold.
7Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines
The Mother of Machines herself gets the Ichor Showcase treatment, with art by Dominik Mayer
She is threatening as she looks down from her seat of power, and even with her eyes covered, you may feel her staring at you. One of the coolest parts of Elesh Norn comes from the transition from white to black on Norn’s headpiece and arms as they cross over the pillars in the background. Seeing so much of thewhite-aligned Praetordetailed in black ink is an impressive interpretation of the current ruler of Phyrexia.

6Glissa Sunslayer
The former hero of Mirrodin fell to Phyrexia’s influence ages ago, having been accused of being a traitor to her fellow Elves and slowly transformed into a Phyrexian simply by living to close to the Glistening Oil.
She was finally compleated by Vorniclex, who gifted her the blade that replaced her arm that is so prominently displayed in the Ichor Showcase art by Jenn Ravenna Tran. Glissa is depicted in purple, black, and green ink, holding some sort of effigy to her new survival of the fittest ideology that she holds in the Hunter Maze.

5Atraxa, Grand Unifier
The borderless Ichor Showcase Atraxa, Grand Unifier is a sight to behold. Standing before what appears to be a sphere, perhaps at the center of Phyrexia or descending from one sphere of the world to another.

This artwork from depicts Atraxa almost as a holy figure, floating gently above you ready to deliver her divine message from above. The golden wind that whips around her is the melding of her color identity, signifying her as the Grand Unifier of Phyrexia.
4Sinew Dancer
Not all of the Ichor Showcase cards are the impressive, high-powered cards from Phyrexia: All Will Be One. One of the best-looking cards from the set is a common, Sinew Dancer by Kekai Kotaki.
The sickly strands of sinew and blood dripping off of the Dancer dominate the white background of the card. The strands almost look like a black and white spiderweb of flesh spreading out from the Dancer’s body. While disgusting to look at, there is a type of beauty to be found in the strewn-out sinew.

3Venser, Corpse Puppet
A different approach to the Ichor Showcards cards than what we’ve seen so far is Venser Corpse Puppet, illustrated by Dominik Mayer. The artwork for Venser is mostly black, with white outlining the shape and finer details of its face, arms, and floating orbs that circle its body.
Then the gentle touch of blue around the edges of black gives the card the splashes of color to show thatVenser is a blue/black creature. It is a dark and imposing card, fully showing off the terror of Phyrexia, and how nothing is safe from its grasp.

2Drivnod, Carnage Dominus
The nightmare that is Drivnod, Carnage Dominus cannot be understated and is fully on display with the borderless Ichor Showcase art, again by Dominik Mayer.
Bones and spines stick out from a curved, broken body, bent almost like a scythe against the white background. With its grasping hand, it almost feels like Drivnod is reaching out to grab something. Between the jagged strokes and ink splatter across the card, it truly makes it feel carnage given form.

1Phyrexian Obliterator
The Phyrexian Obliterator has long been a symbol of Phyrexian perfection, the ultimate form of destruction and annihilation. The inky Ichor Showcase depicts a stark contrast for the Phyrexian Obliterator, an all-white background with jagged teeth, claws, and whipping tendrils.
This version of the Phyrexian Obliterator by Yu-ki Nishimoto has a more dinosaur look to it, stalking its prey as the perfect weapon of destruction that Phyrexia has at its disposal.
