With the huge scope of this game, you will definitely see yourself doing a lot of exploring. Thankfully, there is a skill tree dedicated to making that part of the experience easier and more enjoyable. Check out the best skills to unlock while you explore the three cities!

10Air Skip

Air Skip isone of the most important skills to unlock first. It makes traversal less of a drag since it can speed up getting from point A to point B. On top of that, it’s a useful skill to have when you’re surrounded by enemies and need to make a quick escape.

This skill doesn’t have a cooldown, but maxing out its upgrade can be very helpful so that it costs only 2 mana per jump. This mana reduction can be especially useful if you’re casting spells or simply have a smaller mana pool in the earlier stages of the game.

9Well Rested

Well Rested is an extremely helpful skill to have as it automatically gives you a good buff at the start of each day. The actual buff is randomized per day, but every option is great. you may get bonus farming EXP, have a higher chance of getting extra forageables, or gain damage points to either enemies or rocks, among other things.

Its maxed-out form grants you the buff for the entire day, which is a real boon if you get your farming done in the morning and go for quests andmining later on. Even its base form is great, with a 6-hour window where your buff applies.

8Double Take

Foraging is a major part of exploration in Sun Haven, so you’ll be glad to have the Double Take skill. This allows you to get more out of every action as it increases the chance that you gain an extra item when collecting forageables.

Whether you’re pressed for time or you just want to get more bang for your buck, this skill will come in handy in the long run as you collect your goodies. Even if the maxed-out skill only adds a 40% chance, that’s actually a very adequate number considering how often you’ll be foraging anyway.

7Replenishment

Health and mana are, naturally, crucial to your survival in Sun Haven. It’s less of a problem when you’ve upgraded these pools accordingly, but you’ll find that having ways to replenish them is helpful at any point in the game.

Replenishment lets you regain some health and mana every time you collect a forageable or break a destructible object. For reference, this means cutting a tree or using your pickaxe on some stones will count toward your health and mana restoration.

6Sap Sucker

You’re going to be cutting trees for the logs anyway, so you might as well get Sap Sucker to gain some more mana while you go about hacking at trees. This is a great skill to have if you’re often facing off against multiple enemies in the forest.

Whether you’re air skipping a lot or using spells, you will inevitably use up your mana pool and need quick and easy ways to restore it. Thankfully, you’ll often find yourself surrounded by trees that you can simply chop down to get that sweet mana.

5Wood Splitter

Considering how essential logs are in practically everything you need to build to expand your home and farm, you’ll want to get Wood Splitter. This increases the number of logs dropped from trees.

It’s a simple yet truly godsent benefit that maximizes your resource collection nicely. It’s not just for players that don’t have the patience to cut down multiple trees, either.

Trees can take some time to grow back on your farm, so this skill will help you keep a few saved for a rainy day as you get more logs per tree.

3Appreciation

It doesn’t really take too much work to get NPCs to like you in Sun Haven. As long as you talk to them in an agreeable manner and give them gifts, their hearts will quickly go up.

With the Appreciation skill, you get bonus gold every day for each heart you have with romanceable characters.

This means you can get up to 1,000 gold per day just by having all the romanceable characters at max hearts. Even without pursuing the romance arc, you can get up to ten hearts with a romanceable character.

2Secret Compartment

As you explore the outskirts of the cities, you will find lots of treasure chests and money bags littered throughout the forests. How they ended up in those spots unattended remains largely unknown, but hey, why turn down some free gold?

If you get the Secret Compartment skill, you get 160 more gold from both treasure chests and money bags. Money doesn’t necessarily buy happiness, sure, but it definitely goes a long way when you’re trying to upgrade your farm.

1Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt is a glorious skill to have in your Exploration tree. Sure, it’s all the way in column VIII, but it’s well worth unlocking once you get to it. This skill ensures that golden pomegranates will spawn around Sun Haven every day.

Although you can always just sell the golden pomegranate if you please, the real move is to consume it. Eating the magnificent golden pomegranate nets you 200 gold and increases your health and mana by two, permanently. This increase may not seem like much at first, but this quickly grows into a significant increase when you eat the gleaming fruit every day.
