Some quests inThe Witcher 3have characters ask Geralt for some money or for a favor in exchange for a vague promise of future recompense. One of these quests, Worthy of Trust, will test your patience and trust when one man borrows some money to return home from Skellige.

If you manage to chance upon him a second time, you will find out the shocking truth. The man is a liar. You can decide if Geralt will trust him with another chance to pay him back or if you will have him face justice. Geralt may not have foresight, but you will, should you read this guide.

Meeting Johann

AtKaer Trolde Harbor,Geralt can talk to a man by the docks. He introduces himself asJohann Bohner,a recently shipwrecked man that needs some money to pay for passage home.

If you choose to help, he will take150 crownsas a loan, promising to pay you back in Novigrad.

Meeting The Juggler

Some time after providing the loan, you can find a familiar-looking manbetween Kaer Trolde Harbor and Crossroads.While he claims to be a juggler, his face is unmistakable. Geralt catches on immediately and calls him out.

“Johann” will plead with Geralt, begging for some time to pay you back with interest. With the trust already broken, you havethree choices.

In terms of your return on investment,letting the man gowill be the wisest option. you’re able to find himin Fyresdala day later, with200 crownswaiting for you. Combined with the 20 crowns given earlier, you will receive220 crowns,with a profit of70 crowns.

If you killed him,you canrecover 150 crownsfrom his body. This will allow you tobreak evenbut will have you miss out on the potential rewards.
