Of the two new Commander decks to release alongside Phyrexia: All Will Be One, the red/white Rebellion Rising deck brings some powerful synergies to the game. This token-themed commander deck has all sorts of cool new cards to help you build a powerful army of creatures.
10Staff Of The Storyteller
Thislittle artifact is a fantastic wayto generate some strong and consistent card advantage over the course of the game. Staff of the Storyteller gains story counters whenever you create one or more creature tokens, creating a 1/1 white Spirit token when it enters the battlefield, so it automatically starts with a story counter when it comes into play. Then, for a little mana, you can remove story counters to draw cards.
Keep making tokens and adding counters to Staff of the Storyteller and you’ll be drawing a constant stream of cards throughout the game. You need to keep in mind that if you create more than one creature token at a time you still only get one story counter on the Staff.

9Roar Of Resistance
If you’re making tons of tokens, one of the best things you’re able to do is to also give them an ability like haste so they can immediately attack the turn they come out. Roar of Resistance grants all your creature tokens haste, letting them attack the turn they are created. It also works wonderfully with cards with living weapon or For Mirrodin! abilities, where these pieces of equipment enter the battlefield attached to a creature token already and are ready to attack immediately.
Roar of Resistance has a neat extra ability tacked on where for two mana you can give all creatures currently attacking one of your opponents or a planeswalker they control +2/+0 for the turn. You can use this ability to even give your opponent’s creatures a boost in power, surprising everyone with a power boost.

8Goldwardens’ Gambit
If you’re a fan ofmaking tokens for cheapthat come with an upside, then Goldwardens’ Gambit is the card for you. With affinity for equipment, this eight-mana spell costs one less for each equipment card you control. While getting Goldwardens’ Gambit down to just two mana might not happen often, you’ll easily be casting it for four or five mana which is still extremely powerful.

Adding five 2/2 creatures to the board is great, but giving them all haste and attaching a piece of equipment to them for free can turn each of them into a threat with the right equipment in play. Just make sureyou have a few equipment in playto maximize the free attachment costs before casting Goldwardens’ Gambit.
7Flawless Maneuver
This free protection spell has only been printed one other time, back in the 2020 Commander precon for Ikoria. Often regarded as one of the weakest of the cycle of free spells from that release, it is still hard to deny how powerful a free spell is.
With your commander in play, Flawless Maneuver gives your creatures indestructible for free, letting your creatures dodge a board wipe or even save a few creatures from some unfavorable blocks or combat tricks. The fact that Flawless Maneuver is being reprinted could be a good sign for the other cards in this cycle could see another printing soon.

6Kemba’s Banner
When you have a ton of tokens in play, playing cards that capitalize on all those tokens gives you a new way to take out your opponents. With Kemba’s Banner attached to a creature, that creature gets +1/+1 for each creature you control. If you have ten tokens in play, your equipped creature gets +10/+10.
With the For Mirrodin! ability on Kemba’s Banner, you get to create a 2/2 Rebel creature token when this card enters the battlefield, and then you get to attach Kemba’s Banner to it for free. At the minimum, you’ll have a 3/3 creature since it counts itself as well as other creatures you control.

5Hexplate Wallbreaker
Another equipment with For Mirrodin!, Hexplate Wallbreaker comes into play attached to a 2/2 creature, then also gives the equipped creature +2/+2 which is a fairly hefty power boost. The real power behind Hexplate Wallbreaker is its ability to grant extra combat steps.

So long as it’s the first combat phase of the turn, Hexplate Wallbreaker untaps all your attacking creatures, effectively prepping them for the next attack, and then immediately gives you an extra combat step. Pair this card up with any other card that has an ability that triggers when you declare attackers or when that creature attacks and you’ll have the opportunity to ruin your opponent’s board.
4Glimmer Lens
Card draw in a red and white Commander deck can leave a lot to be desired, but with cards like Glimmer Lens you’ll be able to refill your hand with every attack. When the equipped creature attacks with at least one other creature, you’ll draw a card.
A very straightforward piece of equipment that since it comes with the For Mirrodin! ability, you only need one other creature to attack with to trigger the card draw. Glimmer Lens pairs well with Goldwardens’ Gambit, helping you draw cards and providing valuable pieces of equipment to attach for free.

3Clever Concealment
Having multiple ways to protect your board is important when playing Commander and Clever Concealment is a neat way of keeping your cards safe. For just four mana you can phase out all your nonland permanents until your next turn, effectively treating them like they don’t exist so your opponents can’t mess with your cards.
With convoke you could potentially even cast Clever Concealment for free, tapping creatures to pay for the mana cost. With convoke, you can tap all your mana, making your opponent think that you can’t stop them from destroying your cards, and then tapping your creatures to protect your board.

2Otharri, Suns' Glory
There are few commanders better at making tokens than Otharri, Suns’ Glory. The more it attacks the more experience counters you get, meaning the more tokens you can create on each attack. Combining it with cards like Hexplate Wallbreaker gives you extra combat steps to gain more experience counters.
Otharri also comes loaded with keywords to start the token-making process early, having haste and flying to let it attack the turn it comes down and the evasion necessary for keeping it alive.

1Neyali, Suns' Vanguard
While Neyali, Suns’ Vanguard doesn’t make tokens it certainly helps you win with them. With Neyali out, your tokens gain double strike when they attack, letting them punch up against stronger enemies and dealing tons of damage to your opponents.
Even better, Neyali can provide tons of card advantage by exiling the top card of your library when you attack with a token and letting you play it this turn. Even attacking with just one token a turn can quickly help put you ahead on cards.
