These cards are made special for Arena’s Alchemy and Historic formats, with the ability to manipulate your deck, permanently alter cards, and create cards out of nothing.

Alchemy: Phyrexia brought 30 new cards to Arena, each one expanding on the world of Phyrexia and adding new and unique ways to manipulate your deck. Some of the best of these cards make your equipment better, help you proliferate to greater heights, and conjure cards never before seen on Arena to your hand.
10Kemba’s Outfitter
There aretons of equipment in Magicthat would be better if only they had a cheaper equip cost, and with Kemba’s Outfitter, you can live the dream. An amazing target for Kemba’s Outfitter would be Colossus Hammer, normally costing eight generic mana to equip, now you can give a creature +10/+10 for one mana.
Another great target could be Belt of Giant Strength, which costs at least ten mana to equip, but now for the low cost of one mana, you can equip it to any creature you want!

9Surgical Metamorph
There are a few cards on Arena that do similar things to Surgical Metamorph, but no other card gets as interesting a twist on its casting cost as it. If you’re not the starting player in the match, Surgical Metamorph costs one less generic mana to cast.
Being able to copy any permanent in play, and not just your own, is a fun way to steal an opponent’s planeswalker, or perhaps some powerful enchantment like Overwhelming Splendor to even the playing field a little.

8March Toward Perfection
Boons on Arena are like temporary emblems, they’ll give you a one-time bonus, and then disappear once conditions are met. March Towards Perfection specifically helps your Phyrexian spells, giving your next creature +1/+1 and a deathtouch counter.

March Toward Perfection isn’t done though, you get to replace it with a card drafted from its spell book. Each of the 15 cards here are all Phyrexian creatures, with a chance to pick a Phyrexian Obliterator, Phyrexian Fleshgorger, or an Archfiend of the Dross.
7Contagion Dispenser
A four-mana artifact that proliferates when it comes into play might not be great on its own, but Contagion Dispenser has the potential to do so much more. Every time you proliferate you get to draft a card from its spellbook.
Each of Contagion Dispenser’s spellbook cards also proliferate, letting you draft more and more cards every with each proliferation activation. With multiple copies of this in play, there’s potential for all sorts of wild plays.

6Innovative Metatect
This two-mana creature has the potential to draw cards as soon as it comes in, so it definitely has the potential to be very good. Innovative Metatect lets you seek a nonland card that costs two or less mana when anartifact creature deals damage to a player.
Keep up the pressure, and you’ll be sure to have plenty of cards flooding into your hand. You’ll have to build your deck specifically around Innovative Metatect to verify you have plenty of cards to seek out, as well as enough artifact creatures to sneak damage in.

5Rothga, Bonded Engulfer
Lukka’s Phyrexian partner, the very beast that caused Lukka’s corruption, is now given a card with Rothga, Bonded Engulfer. A 4/4 creature with trample for four mana is already a solid attacker, and comes loaded with a boon that perpetually doubles the stats of your next creature.

If you’re on curve, your next card could be Thrun, Breaker of Silence. With its power and toughness doubled you’ll have yourself a 10/10 with trample, can’t be touched by nongreen spells, and on your turn is indestructible, which is ridiculous.
4Arek, False Goldwarden
In an Aristocrats-style deck, Arek, False Goldwarden might just be the thing needed to push a ton of damage all at once. Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, Arek’s intensity raises, as well as all other copies of Arek you own in your hand, graveyard, and library.
The payoff for raising Arek’s intensity is that you can drain your opponent’s life equal to its intensity. There is the potential to do a few interesting things with Arek, like reanimating it and sacrificing it over and over again to keep draining your opponent.

3Darksteel Hydra
Darksteel Hydra is a card that starts off good only gets better the more mana you’re able to pump into it. Forfour mana you get an indestructible 2/2, for five mana you get 4/4, and so on. Even with a small proliferate package, you can keep increasing Darksteel Hydra’s power and toughness over the course of the game.
No matter how much mana you put into Darksteel Hydra, you’ll always conjure a Darksteel Ingot and a Darksteel Plate to your hand, replacing itself with two new cards. Darksteel Ingot helps you ramp and then Darksteel Plate is an equipment that gives the equipped creature indestructible.

2Phyrexian Harvester
It’s a little hard to say exactly how good Phryexian Harvester actually is. While it isn’t as powerful as Phyrexian Obliterator or even Phyrexian Vindicator, being able to temporarily draw a bunch of nonland cards is hard to pass up.
Even with a few spells that deal damage to creatures you control, like Ixalan’s Reckless Rage which deals two damage to a creature you control to deal four damage to another creature, does give you a chance to draw two cards for one mana.

1Vexyr, Ich-Tekik’s Heir
If you’ve been on the lookout for a commander that lets you maximize the seek mechanic for Historic Brawl, then Vexyr, Ich-Tekik’s Heir fits your very specific request. At just three mana, Vexyr is aggressively cost while also sitting on a 3/4 body. Vexyr lets you capitalize on your seeking cards by creating a 3/3 golem every time you do so.
There are almost thirty cards in Alchemy that seek cards in white, green, and blue, so there’s a wide selection of cards available to pick from for your deck.
