No matter how many regions get released, Mondstadt feels like home since that’s everyone’s first memory of the game. The region has also seen various unique characters that can help you clear all the enemies.
RELATED:Genshin Impact: Ascensions Materials For Mika
Mika is one such character who wields a Polearm with a Cryo vision in the game. He first made his appearance during a limited-time event but is now an integral part of the character roster. Mika is an excellent support for various units in the game.
Physical And Cryo Support Build
Mika has a unique skill set where hisactive and passive skills come together to make him one of the best damage boosters in the game for certain characters. Here’s everything you need to know about his abilities:
Elemental Skill
You can press or hold this skill to get the Soulwind state on all characters in your party, which increases your ATK SPD.The amount of speed provided by this talent depends on the level of your Elemental Skill talent.
Elemental Burst
When you activate his Burst, heheals a certain amount of health of all nearby party members and gives them the Eagleplume effect. Characters dealing Normal Attack damage with the Eagleplume effect will heal themselves every 2.5 seconds.
Suppressive Barrage Passive
Depending on the opponents hit during the press or hold stance of your Elemental Skill, you’ll gain stacks of the Detector effect. Each stack will increase the active character’s Physical DMG by ten percent, and you’re able to have a maximum of three.
Topographical Mapping Passive
Increases the total amount of Detector effect stacks by one. Moreover,if the active character with the Soulwind and Eagleplume effect does a Crit hit, they’ll gain one stack of the Detector effect.
Apart from the ATK SPD bonus from the Elemental Skill, the passives make him a great support for characters like Eula, Razor, or Xiangling if they’re using the Physical DPS build. If you don’t have the second constellation on Mika, it’s recommended to use the hold stance of your Skill to get the benefit from Suppressive Barrage.

Since he’s a buffer and thehealing from his Elemental Burst depends on his HP, the Pale Flame artifact set is perfect for him. The set provides an HP increase of 20 percent with a two-piece and an ATK boost of 20 percent whenever he uses his Elemental Skill with a four-piece.
The Shield Strength provided by the Pale Flame artifact set isuseless on Mika since he heals the party members so you won’t need a shield. you’re able to also use the Noblesse Oblige artifact set on him since it gives an ATK boost when you use your Burst as well.

Though Pale Flame is better since the other artifact in the Pale Flame domain is great for Physical DPS characters, so you won’t be wasting any Resin when you farm them.
As for the weapon, the Favonius Lance is the best-in-slot for Mika with this build. It provides you with a decent amount of Energy Recharge as the secondary stat, which helps you get your Burst faster. Moreover, the particles created when you deal a Crit hit can significantly increase the Energy of other members of your party.

The best part about Mika being a Physical damage and ATK SPD buffer is that most Cryo characters like Kamisato Ayaka, Eula, Kaeya, or Rosaria can deal a significant amount of Physical DMG.
DPS Mika Build
While it’s not ideal, players can still use Mika as a main DPS with this build.Though you won’t get as much value out of Mika as you would with the support build. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence is a special artifact set that increases your ATK by 18 percent on the two-piece.
If your current Energy is higher than 15, the four-piece of this set takes away 15 Energy and increases your Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack damage by 50 percent. This combines with the ATK SPD and Physical DMG bonus provided by Mika’s abilities to make him deal quite significant damage if his Normal Attack talent is leveled up.

You’ll likely not be able to use Mika’s Elemental Burst with this buildunless you use a Cryo battery like Diona with him. If you’re not using a Cryo battery, it’s recommended to use another healer or shielder with him.
Crescent Pike suits this build perfectly since itgives you a Physical DMG Bonus of 34.5 percent and increases your Normal and Charged attack damage based on your ATK. The weapon also has a high 565 ATK when it’s fully leveled, which can help since Mika’s base ATK is quite low.

As a replacement, you can also use the Dragonspine Spear since you can craft it for free after exploring Dragonspine. This Polearm gives you a high 69 percent Physical DMG bonus and also lets you deal a little bit of Cryo DMG from its passive. Both of these weapons can be great for Mika’s DPS build.
Artifact Stat Priority For Mika
Both the artifact sets and the stats you’re looking for will change based on the build you pick. You’ll be looking for a completely different set of main and sub-stats on the two builds mentioned above:
HP (guaranteed)
ATK (guaranteed)
Crit Rate/DMG
Crit DMG/Rate > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge
If you’re going to rely on Mika’s healing from Elemental Burst in the DPS build, you have to get some HP Percent as well since his Burst healing depends on that stat.
Talent Priority For Mika
Every character in Genshin Impact hasthree active talents that can be upgraded to level ten without any constellations. Mika’s first talent priority is his Elemental Skill no matter what build you’re using since the ATK SPD bonus is dependent on your talent level. You’ll need as high of a boost as you can get.
If you’re going for a Support build, you can upgrade his Elemental Burst next and you don’t need to upgrade his Normal Attack talent. On the other hand, the Normal Attack talent takes priority in the DPS build. It’s still recommended to upgrade his Elemental Burst in this build even if you’re not going to rely on it.
Mika Constellations
While Mika isn’t a constellation-reliant character, you’ll get more value from his abilities if you have some of them. Here’s what his constellations can give you:
1
Factor Confluence
The Soulwind effect of his Elemental Skill decreases the healing interval from the Elemental Burst based on the ATK SPD.
2
Companion’s Ingress
You get one stack of Detector effect when either of the stances of your Elemental Skill hits an opponent.
3
4
Sunfrost Encomium
When your Elemental Burst heals a party member, three Energy will be restored for Mika up to five times.
5
6
Companion’s Counsel
The maximum number of Detector stacks is increased by one. Moreover, the characters affected by Soulwind deal 60 percent more Physical Crit DMG.
