The latest gameplay trailer forSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas seemingly completely debunked a plot leak that’s been making the rounds over the past month.

Yesterday, we reported that theIMDA age rating for Kill the Justice League seemed to align with a previous plot leak that(possible spoilers for something that’s pretty much guaranteed to be fake now) suggested that Batman and the Flash were both decapitated by Captain Boomerang, as one of the gory deaths outlined in the rating matched up with the leak.

Towards the end of that post, we said that the gameplay trailer would likely give us definitive proof of whether the leak had a leg to stand on or not, and boy did it. As it turns out, the popular plot leak seems to have no truth to it whatsoever, as there are several things shown in the gameplay trailer that directly contradict it.

A handy list of all of the things that are debunked in the trailer was put together by Redditor jexdiel321 on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subredditand there’s quite a lot to go through. For starters, one of the most obvious examples of the leak being wrong is that Lex Luthor is shown to be alive and well. In the leak, it was said that he was found dead at Lex Corp alongside Bloodsport, but he’s clearly alive and (mostly) well here.

Another clear miss from the leakis the claim that the Riddler dies early on in the game as a joke, but the gameplay footage shows a Riddler trophy-esque symbol on the ground the implies he’s alive, well, and back to annoy everyone with puzzles. The Reddit post also points out that Diana clearly doesn’t know what to do or what’s going on, but that the original plot leak states that she knows she has to kill everyone and use the Flashpoint Protocol to set things right, again making it clear the leak was fake.
