The vehicles you can see roaming around the real world rarely provide genuine shocks. Most of them are just standard cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, boats, and planes. They come in different shapes and sizes, but rarely do you see one that truly blows your mind.

Things are different in the video game world, though. While gaming, you’re able to regularly see and use all sorts of weird and wonderful vehicles. From unusual versions of real-life cars to outright ridiculous contraptions, there are plenty of strange vehicles in video games. The following ones are the oddest and most notable you’re likely to discover.

8Ramp Buggy (GTA Online)

Grand Theft Autogames are known for including many vehicles and being a bit silly at times. These two concepts come together to create the Ramp Buggy in GTA Online.

This vehicle is very simple. It’s a car that is shaped like a ramp. More importantly, it also functions like a ramp. So, when you ram into other vehicles, they go flying in the air. It’s very fun to use and one of the best vehicles in GTA Online. Don’t expect to get your hands on one in real-life, though.

7Avispa Buzzer (Resolver) (Far Cry 6)

Far Cry 6is allabout leading a rebellionagainst the tyrannical leader of the country, Anton Castillo. As you’re part of the scrappy underdog rebel group, you don’t get the fanciest-looking pieces of equipment. Yet, scarp parts can go a long way, as evidenced by the Avispa Buzzer.

This vehicle isn’t much to look at, but it’s an impressive mini two-person helicopter that is capable of floating on water and flying over mountains. The people who crafted it deserve plenty of credit for being able to make it with whatever they found lying around.

6Cargo Drone (Watch Dogs: Legion)

A Cargo Drone isn’t a weird machine. However, it’s an odd choice for a vehicle. This doesn’t stop you from using one to travel around London in Watch Dogs: Legion, though. It isn’t specifically designed for that purpose, but it works.

You simply need to climb on top and control the thing using your in-game device. It’s a great way to get around as it’s fairly quick and is able to take you high above enemy checkpoints. Essentially, it’s a compact plane or helicopter.

5M313 Elephant (Halo 3)

There are plenty of vehicles in the Halo series. And while you won’t see them driving down your street, most of them are conventional for a sci-fi world. Yet, one of thevehicles made by the humans in the seriesstands out a bit. This is the M313 Elephant from Halo 3.

The vehicle is noteworthy because of its large size. It’s a mobile base containing multiple levels and guns. As you’d expect, the behemoth is very slow. But simply driving it around is a unique experience.

4Dinosaur Toy (It Takes Two)

Throughout It Takes Two, you play as two people who have been transformed into small dolls. As such, everything seems large to you, from squirrels to toys. One such toy you interact with is a tall dinosaur. You get to control its movement and mouth with a lever.

It’s meant to be used for a specific puzzle, but you’re able to ride around in it a bit. And it’s a chance that is difficult to pass up since the opportunity to ride around on a toy dinosaur doesn’t come around too often.

3Goomba’s Shoe (Super Mario Series)

The Goomba’s Shoe is a highly original vehicle that features in a few different Super Mario games. It’s very simple in concept, as it’s just one giant shoe that winds up. Mario squeezes his entire body into the boot and sets off on his journey. If he’s going to a fancy party or event, the plumber can opt for the stiletto version introduced in Super Mario Maker.

A large shoe is certainly not what you expect to see careening down a road, but it does fit in with the general wackiness of the Mushroom Kingdom.

2Log (Need For Speed 2)

Need For Speed isn’t the most ridiculous racing series. In fact, it’s fairly realistic at times, especially when it comes to vehicles. Yet, any commitment the developers had to realism disappeared when designing the Log.

It’s a secret car that is just a standard wooden log that you somehow drive. It isn’t even fashioned into any sort of vehicle. There’s no visible steering wheel, windows, or doors on this interesting car. Even without those things, though, you’re able to still drive it around a track.

1Yarnie (Saints Row: The Third - Genkibowl 7 DLC)

Vehicles are a common sight in the Saints Row series, and many of them are absurd. However, Yarnie from the third game’s Genkibowl DLC is wacky even bySaints Rowstandards. This is because the vehicle is simply one giant ball of yarn.

It rolls along the ground and destroys any human or car that gets in its way. So, it has the strength of a tank without a cannon. Instead of a cannon, it contains a shockwave ability that severely damages everyone nearby.
