Sons of the Forest’slatest patch is going to make Kelvin fans very happy. Patch number four brings a bunch of new features and fixes to the popular horror survival game. This includes the addition of ducks, an action cam, and updates to the GPS tracker. However, it is the improvements the update makes to everyone’s favorite silent companion that really makes the patch worthwhile.

According to thepatch notes(thanksEurogamer) from developer Endnight Games, Kelvin gets a double log buff, allowing him to carry two logs at once. This is a big improvement for the AI companion who is notably slower at clearing areas and collecting logs than the player.

While Kelvin gets a little more perfect, the patch also brings several new features to the game. One such feature is the addition of a new Action Cam and the first “found footage” tape. Sons of the Forest also gets new point-of-interest discovery laptops, the ability to name save game files, and pop-up messages for when a player is kicked or banned.

There are also a ton of improvements made to the horror survival game to make playing easier and more enjoyable. While Kelvin is over there juggling two logs, cannibals will now look at each other when not engaged in a fight. There are also improvements to bird speeds, dead bodies become clean of dirt and blood in water, and ducks are now found on the golf course. Oh, and there is a lake for the ducks now.

The game also gets a ton of other fixes to improve the player experience in other areas. They include your average big fixes like missing player-disconnected notifications, despawning fish, falling trees not hitting cannibals, and instances of players getting stuck in certain animations. Then you get some not-so-average fixes like the lone life jacket floating in the sky, getting trapped in the hell cave, and the pause menu adding force to players on the zipline.

Sons of the Forest has proven a hit amongst players withover two million copies soldwithin the first 24 hours of its early access launch in February. Plus, the game has received massive approval from the gaming community withmultiple positive reviews. With Endnight Games keeping a continuous flow of improvements and updates, it doesn’t look like that popularity is going away anytime soon. Especially not if Kelvin keeps getting better and better. Oh, and don’t worry, the devs promised thatKelvin can still destroy your base for no reason. Because apparently the fans liked that.
