The folks over atGamesRadarshared all the impressive numbers that Sons of the Forest has racked up in its short lifespan. The horror title has seen a concurrent player count of over 350,000 players, an impressive feat for an indie horror game that has been out only a day. To give perspective, that is the 22nd largest player count in Steam’s history. Plus, it is the third most-popular game on the platform.

In fact, players are having so much fun in Sons of the Forest that it may be slowing upSteam’sservers. Just an hour after launching on the platform, Steam suffered an outage. Endnight Games, the folks behind Sons of the Forest, were meant to launch the title fully this month. However, in order toavoid another delay, the developer decided an Early Access launch would allow them to make necessary tweaks while letting players finally jump into the action of the game. After all, we have only been waiting since 2019 for this game. Though, it is clearly worth the wait.
