Even beforeResident Evil 4 Remakelaunched, modders were making changes, both amusing and helpful, to the game. That has naturally increased exponentially since the full game arrived and continues on, particularly when it comes to changing Ashley’s appearance. One mod now lets you change Ashley into a Regnerador which makes for an incredibly different experience when that’s the version of the character you’re trying to protect.

Created byzhoujihao, and available now throughNexus Mods, the mod will replace Ashley’s character model with one ofResident Evil 4’s Regenerador. A pretty terrifying enemy in both the original version of the game and the remake which can regenerate parts of its body, hence the name and why the foe is so formidable as they’ll just keep coming back for more. Well, up until a point.

As for whether you’ll need to worry about Ashley’s well-being a little less with the Regernador mod applied, that seems unlikely. While the president’s daughter will look like a monster, the mod doesn’t appear to be so advanced that she will be able to grow back her body parts should she succumb to a zombie attack. You also have to question whether the president will even want his daughter back if she looks so drastically different from when he last saw her. Perhaps she has always been a Regenrador in the universe where this mod is applied. I think I might be starting to think about this too much.

As noted, Regeneradors returned toResident Evilin the latest remake after bothering players of the original Resident Evil 4. They look a lot different than they did in 2005 though, and not just because they’ve been recreated usingCapcom’s RE Engine. For some reason, the studio has given the monsters far more ample behinds. So much so that some of you have admitted to having confusing feelings about them.

Two weeks on from the remake’s launch, its players are already wondering where the series goes next. The next logical step is to remakeResident Evil 5,something that’s hinted at in the most recent game. However, many of you are hopefulCapcom takes a step back and remakes Code Veronica instead.
