While theResident Evil 4 remakehas been received really well, there was a bit of confusion about whether its two other game modes, Mercenaries and Separate Ways, would also be remade.Mercenaries eventually came out on April 7, but there’s still no official word on the latter. However, if datamines are to be believed, it’s only a matter of time.In March, we reported that dataminers managed to findfiles related to the Separate Ways DLCin the source code of Resident Evil 4. A folder titled “Another Order” was found, which was the Japanese name of the mode. While this should be enough evidence, dataminers have uncovered more proof that the arrival of game mode is imminent.RELATED:Resident Evil 4’s Haunted Squid Knights Need More LoveAccording to a Tweet by Resident Evil source,ResiEvilCentral, a datamine has revealed the RE4 home screen with the Separate Ways mode option right between Campaign and The Mercenaries. While it’s not yet playable, this is how the home screen should look once the game mode launches. They have thanked someone calledTohru Adachifor the information.Separate Ways is a mode that is unlocked after completing the campaign – in the original at least – which lets you experience the story of Resident Evil 4 from the perspective of Ada Wong. While it’s a short mode, it reveals a lot of canon information about Ada and the RE universe in general as well. So, it’s only fitting that the game mode eventually be remade as well.

However, if it’s not just the game modes from the original you want to see return, but also the gameplay, one fan has introduced a mod that will take you back to that. TheResident Evil 4 Classic Gameplay bundlebrings together three mods for the Remake that will bring a semblance of the original’s gameplay style to the remake. The three mods reintroduce the original’s mechanic of staggering enemies via a single shot to the head, torso, and leg respectively.

However, if the game as it isn’t bizarre enough for you, you can always choose to downloada mod that introduces the Moushley memeto the game. Developed by cathroon, the mod does more than just turning Ashley into a mouse. It in fact, shrinks the character and places her on top of Leon’s head, like in Ratatouille. Of course, Moushley wouldn’t be controlling Leon, given that he’s the one usually doling out instructions.

“Take control of Moushley as she takes control of Leon, Ratatouille-style, and lay waste to some backwater Spanish village to rescue your human counterpart,” reads the description of the mod. Perchance this mod works like how it did in Ratatouille, it would be Moushley controlling Leon and pulling off brutal kills.
