Resident Evil 4is a fan-favorite of theResident Evilseries, and many aspects of the gameplay compel you to do the same things everyone else does. This isn’t learned behavior or innovative path finding either.

You’ll probably apply these tactics to get out of a sticky situation. Whether it’s avoiding infected villagers or spamming a weapon over and over again, sometimes the most common ways end up being the most effective, even if we’re talking about theResident Evil 4 Remake. When it comes to Resident Evil, there are things we all just end up doing.
10Wasting Ammo On Weak Villagers
You’ve probably faced a ton of enemies in the previous version of Resident Evil 4, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ve most likely wasted a ton of your pistol and shotgun ammo on enemies you could’ve easily struck down with just a knife – unless you’re playing on Hardcore Mode.
Luckily there were enough drops in the previous game that let you recover from your mistakes. In the remake, however, you’re given an option to simply take down enemies in a stealthier way. Either that or struggle to explore the map for yourself and find ammo the hard way unless you own the right attache case.

9Taking Aim At The Birds
What did the birds ever do to you? Regardless of the version, you’ll always gravitate toward mowing down crows in the game. Bizarrely enough,Capcomis in on it and rewards you for your twisted actions.
It’s unlikely you will resist the urge to strike them down in the remake, too, especially since their bodies end up dropping essential loot like gunpowder or eggs. Yes, chickens aren’t exempt from needless violence.

8Trying To Jump From One Rooftop To The Next
As if fighting off an entire horde of infected zombie-like villagers wasn’t thrilling enough, some players made it a mission to jump out of a window or climb a ladder and perform death-defying stunts like an acrobat.

As gifted as Leon is, It’s surprising how often he slips up during a jump, but that won’t deter you, now will it? Roof combat is a pretty common way to tackle the villagers and the chainsaw man in El Pueblo.
7Seeking Refuge In The Bell Tower
There’s a high chance you’ve felt overwhelmed by all the enemies swarming around you in El Pueblo. The first thing you’ll probably do is seek ways to evade combat with too many targets walking about taking aim at you with their farmer tools.
In the previous game, going up the tower ladder was a somewhat decent idea to line your prey up and slash at them one at a time. Now the platform just hilariously gives out if you intend to spend too long on the tower’s top floor.

6Kicking Away A Swarm Of Enemies
The kicking mechanic Leon has does seem rather cool in practice, especially after you’ve just staggered an enemy and want to line up several others in your crosshair, but it’s pretty intimidating vaulting and shifting your way through the others to get that specific kick in.
Whether it’s the remake or the original, it’s still just as satisfying kicking away four people for the price of emptying out a bullet in one. It’s also kind of dangerous, to say the least.

5Knifing Away At Everything
So once you recognize how to tackle weaker foes with a knife, you’llprobably start using your knife more oftento wipe out everything you see on the map. Even though it’s not a bad strategy to work with, especially if you’re low on ammo, you need to be sure of what you can and can’t handle with a knife.

You may even hack away at the walls, other NPCs, and beefy bosses. It works out for some instances since the remake lets you carry more knives and is knife-only playthrough friendly. Some pros even manage to do it completely unscathed throughout the game.
4Striking Down The Merchant
Got a bad dealfrom the merchantand want your money back? Got spooked by him popping up out of nowhere one too many times? You may want to hurt him, but with this remake, you won’t be able to.
Most fans of the game will undoubtedly end up taking aim at the merchant, only to be disappointed when they realize that feature got cut out. You’re not sad about that, are you? Try doing that in the original game and expect him to show up again if you’re playing on pro difficulty. He won’t.

3Playing Inventory Tetris
What’s more annoying than getting a new gun and not having the inventory space to store it? After all, you probably need all that space to store your ammo and colorful special magic herbs stash. Don’t worry; eventually, you’ll get the hang of it.
Almost every player who beat the original game has had to struggle with packing in all the goods they acquire along the way. There’s only so much you can fit into your attache briefcase.

2Letting Ashley Get Hurt
Getting across the map while being a liaison for a scared potential handicap sounds annoying enough as is, but catering to her every time she’s downed, without any cue, will just stack up on your nerves.
Some players didn’t hesitate to let the ghoulish zombies get what they wanted as soon as they’d had enough of hearing Ashley call out to Leon over and over again, and with this remake, we might see history repeat itself. What’s worse is now she won’t just wait anywhere you command her to; she follows at a distance instead.

1Mowing Down Luis At Ramshackle Cabin
As much as you’d like to play out thefunny cut scene where Luis turns on youafter your betrayal at the cabin, this remake doesn’t account for that feature. Unfortunately, you can damage him as much as you’d like this time around with no repercussions.
The character will simply repeat his dialogues, and you’ll probably be greeted with some throwaway dialogue and quips targeted at your lousy shooting skills. Although, this probably won’t stop you from still trying if you get annoyed with him bossing them around.
