You take the role of a nomad droid who gets embroiled in fighting for the Resistance on the colourful planet of Batuu.
Although perhaps not the greatest showcase of what the PSVR2 is capable of, the game has enjoyed a sizable DLC, as well as plenty of visual and gameplay upgrades. As a first-person shooter, it feels great to use your trusty multi-tool to solve puzzles and to dual-wield blasters while taking down foes.

There’s a load of familiar faces to bump into on your adventure and is a worthwhile romp for Star Wars fans.
8The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR
More of an on-rails experience than their usualchoice-driven narrative fare, TheDark Pictures: Switchback VR is an immersive horror arcade shooter that may have you reaching for the safety of under the duvet when all is said and done.
There are a bunch of eerie and varied locations to immerse yourself in, including familiar locations from the series such as the abandoned freighter from Man of Medan and the murder hotel from The Devil in Me. It utilises the PSVR2’s eye-tracking in an adrenaline-inducing way, causing horrible monsters to appear in front of you after every blink.

It’s a great horror experience and a thrilling rollercoaster ride from start to finish.
7No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Skywas initially released to lackluster reviews and a wave of disappointed fans. After years of continual fixes, seasonal updates, massive content drops, and quality-of-life additions, Hello Games have successfully made No Man’s Sky the space game it was always meant to be, and then some.
One of the best additions to the game was itsmuch-praised VR mode, which is taken a step further with the PSVR2.

As a space survival sim, virtual reality is a no-brainer for those wanting to get the most out of the experience. The ability to sit with a 360-degree view in your cockpit and burst out through the atmosphere of a planet’s surface into the greater beyond is a feeling like no other.

6Moss and Moss Book II

Both games play more or less the same as their PSVR counterparts, though on PSVR2 the visuals look far superior.

5Kayak VR: Mirage
Sometimes, all you’re really looking for in a VR game is a way to show off to your friends and to justify sending so much on a fancy new piece of hardware. Kayak VR: Mirage does just that - it is simply stunning in every way.
As a bonafide kayaking simulator, the water physics is incredible - it feels great to paddle across the open waters in some of the most gorgeous vistas you’ll likely experience in a VR game. It makes use of the PSVR 2’s haptics and triggers to give a real sense of resistance when you paddle.

It’s always a rewarding experience, whether you’re trying to race through and top the leaderboards, or peacefully gliding throughthe game’s relaxing free-roam mode.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinnersis one of the best VR games available and is a fantastic zombie survival game in its own right. In true post-apocalyptic fashion, you’ll be fighting off other rival factions as you fight for control of The Reserve, an area chock-full of resources and goodies that’ll see anyone through a zombie apocalypse.

You’ll be roaming around the streets of a version of New Orleans that’s a little worse for wear, searching around for every scrap of supplies and resources you can. The combat feels particularly punchy with the help of the Sense Controllers' haptics and adaptive triggers.
3Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Villageon PSVR2 has exactly the same story and combat as the original game and that is by no means a bad thing. You’re getting the same overall experience, with the added horror and delight of experiencing a humongous Lady Dimitrescu at point-blank range.
It has put the entire Resident Evil Village experience onto VR without any loss of quality, and that is a feat to behold. It translates so well to VR, it’s the best way to experience the action-packed horrors on offer.

2Gran Turismo 7
Despite weirdly not being compatible with the PSVR2’s Sense Controllers, you’ll still be hard-pressedto find a better race simthanGran Turismo 7on the platform. It’ll be hard not to gawk like an excited child when sitting behind the wheel of your Dodge SRT Tomahawk racing down the track at breakneck speed.
It all looks jaw-droppingly gorgeous, with brilliant driving mechanics and realistic weather effects to make you feel you are really there on track day. What’s more, those who already have the game get a free PSVR2 upgrade, so it’s definitely one to show off to your buddies.

1Horizon Call Of The Mountain
As a flagship launch title of one of Sony’s most highly regarded IPs, Horizon Call of the Mountainis a gorgeous story-driven first-person adventure that takes place in a machine-riddled post-apocalyptic world.
Having been developed with PSVR2 in mind, it makes the best use of the system’s features. You’ll use both Sense Controllers to carefully climb through the game’s gorgeous mountainous vistas and experience its responsive haptics when drawing back your bow against a fearsome Thunderjaw.
It has a great cast of charactersand expands upon the Horizon lore in a meaningful way. It’s undoubtedly the best showcase for the PSVR2 yet.
