This event, thePokemon Go Let’s Go Event,will offer several bonuses to all players who log in and play during its duration, many of which are exclusive to this specific event and won’t be seeing a return any time soon.

This event will take place over the course of about a week, available from Tuesday, March 21, at 10 am local time, to Wednesday, March 29, at 8 pm local time.With changes to several major components of Pokemon Go, it’s important that you go into this event with the proper knowledge and preparation.

Mystery Boxes

Mystery Boxescan be acquired by sending Pokemon from your Pokemon Go account to either Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu, or Pokemon Home. Per usual, opening these Mystery Boxes will reward you with anencounter with Meltan,a Pokemon that is hard to come by in Pokemon Go.

During this event, you can open these Mystery Boxesfaster than normal.Additionally, Meltan encountered through this method will have a chance of beingShiny anda higher chance of either beingXXS or XXL.

Ditto Encounters

During this event,Ditto will disguise itself as different Pokemonin the wild. With the following Pokemon appearing at a higher rate in the wild during this event, you’ll have an increased rate of encountering Ditto as a result. Each Pokemon that Ditto can be disguised as can be found below.

Event Field Research Tasks can be acquired by visiting and spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs. Completing these specific tasks will provide you with an encounter with eitherPansage, Pansear, or Panpour,Pokemon that are traditionally only available in certain regions of the world.

Obtain and complete these tasks during this event, as some of these Pokemon may be difficult to come by depending on which region you are playing in.

Seasonal Special Research will be released during this event, titled “An Everyday Hero.” Although this Special Research is making its debut during this event, it will beavailable to claim until the end of this Pokemon Go season,concluding on June 1, at 10 am local time.

Event Collection Challenge

A newCollection Challengewill be available to complete during this event window, requiring you to catch Pokemon that follow this event’s theme. Catching and evolving all the required Pokemon during this event will reward you with5,000 XPand anencounter with Meltan.

There will bedifferent Pokemon appearing in both Five-Star Raids and Mega Raidsduring this event. Each of these Raid Pokemon will only be available in their respective type of Raid during specific dates, so make sure to take note of these times. Each of these Raid Pokemon can be found below with the type of Raid they will appear in, as well as the dates that they will be available.

Mega Raid

Tuesday, March 28 to Monday, April 10

Changes in the Five-Star Raid and Mega Raid Pokemon will take place at10 am local time.

Team Go Rocket Takeover

TheTeam Go Rocket Takeover Eventwill return during this event, spanningfrom Saturday, March 25, at 10 am local time, to Wednesday, March 29, at 8 pm local time.You can expect the same Team Go Rocket-themed features and bonuses as previous versions of this event, except this time, concluding with a chance to catch Giovanni’s newest Shadow Pokemon,Shadow Regice.

Special Research will be released with this event, obtainable up until June 1, at 10 am local time when this Pokemon Go Season ends.
