Peppa Pig: World Adventures, as the name suggests, takes Peppa across the globe to explore different counties, cultures, and traditions. It’s a neat little way for kids to learn a little about the world, and have fun while doing so. The London section of the game sawPeppa Pigand her family being taken on a tour by Queen Elizabeth herself, after which she joins them in a little puddle splashing. However, after the sweet little moment, the game abruptly cuts away to anin memoriam slate for the late Queen. While the developers obviously wanted to make a kind gesture for Lizzie, the timing of it was rather comical, resulting in a viral reaction video. To be fair, you wouldn’t expect an R.I.P. message in the middle of a kids' game. Lead producer David Moral explained how this rather funny tribute came to be.RELATED:We Got A Three Year Old Kid To Review Peppa Pig: World Adventures"Unfortunately, the Queen passed away during development, and at that moment we had already implemented the character of the Queen and built this whole trip in London," explained Moral in an interview withEurogamer. “When the news came up, there was discussion on how we should address the issue, because obviously there were different options. We could have removed the trip, we could have removed London and the Queen from the game, which would have been an option.”
Admittedly, it does seem like a rather tough decision to make for anyone. Especially when it’s related to one of the most recognisable people on the planet. “Now it’s out I think everyone is glad we decided to keep the Queen in the game,” continued Moral.

“Even though she’s not here, it’s very nice people around the world and the kids are playing [Peppa Pig: World Adventures], and they meet the Queen and learn who she is, because she was such an important figure in the UK and in the world for decades.”
“It didn’t feel right to just remove [London],” Moral concluded, as it “would mean reducing content and reducing fun from the game. At the end, if the kids love it, that’s all that matters, I suppose.”
However, it’s not just the inclusion of London and a tribute to the late Queen that Moral spoke about, but also the fact thatthe game lets you create a diverse family. “You can’t get away with just setting a traditional family like ‘a father and a mother and a sibling’, or whatever”, Moral told Eurogamer. “From our point of view, [the ability to customise your family] is not something that’s a plus, or simply nice to have. It’s just a requirement, honestly”.
Moral continued saying that there are many kinds of families in the world, and not just the traditional mother-father-kids dynamic; the devs wanted to normalise this.
