A recent discovery is that Leon will be getting back the beloved pinstripe suit outfit from the original. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shakehasn’t even been with us for a week, but it’s already been beaten in under an hour. This comes courtesy ofspeedrunnerShift, who just secured a time of 58 minutes and 36 seconds, having just had access to the game for a matter of days. This Any% run involves blasting through The Cosmic Shake’s main story and making it to the end credits as fast as possible. Less than a week since launch, Shift already appears to know the game inside and out, perfectly platforming throughout all the levels, and using the in-game abilities to get from the beginning to end much faster than the devs intended....

I’ve been largely unwilling to watch new Star Wars media over the past decade, simply because I found the sequel trilogy underwhelming. My friends have been watching The Mandalorian since it first came out, hurrying to catch new episodes on release, and until recently, I was severely uninterested – then I watched Andor and saw the light. I am now, once again, interested in Star Wars. In particular, The Acolyte caught my attention this week after its reveal at Star Wars Celebration....

SomeStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderplayers are only just noticing the tattoo that Cal Kestis has on his right arm, which is speculated to be an employee tag to show that Cal is a Bracca scrapper. Over on the Fallen Order subreddit, Redditor Master-Tradition-204 shared an image of the tattoo on Cal’s forearm, noting that he “never knew Cal had a tattoo”. The post quickly became one of the most-liked on the subreddit over the past week, implying that there are a few other Jedi fans out there that also didn’t notice Cal’s ink....

Star Wars Jedi: Survivorfans are discussing whether Cal Kestis should become a Grey Jedi in the third game in the Jedi trilogy, and they don’t seem too fond of the idea. For quite some time now, one of the most popular character archetypes in the Star Wars universe is the “Grey Jedi”, a Force user that doesn’t truly align themselves with either the Light side or the Dark. Popular examples of this include Ahsoka Tano (although never officially said), the Force Unleashed’s Starkiller, and even Qui-Gon Jinn in some Legends material....

I have some incredible Hunter builds in Destiny 2. With Young Ahamkara’s Spine and some specific energy mods, my solar grenade and melee abilities can be thrown almost infinitely. If there’s something big that needs to die quickly, I can usually deal with it faster than anyone else by spamming grenades and knives at it. For my void build, I use Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk to infinitely chain invisibility and volatile rounds together....

Take-Twois interested in AI, but not to replace its developers. That’s at least according to reassurances from the company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, who says that AI can’t make hit video games, adding that game development “is the domain of human beings.” However, he doesn’t rule out using AI to help devs “do a better and more efficient job,” referring to AI-assisted tools. It’s not clear if he has put any limitations on how AI can be used in development, although given that he doubts AI will make it “easier” to make good games, it seems unlikely that we’ll start seeing AI art inGrand Theft Auto 6....
