Destiny 2has me back in its clutches… but it has a weak grip. TheLightfall expansionisn’t everything fans were hoping it would be. Given that it’s the penultimate chapter in the battle of Light versus Darkness, you’d expect the narrative to be a riveting journey of twists and turns, but at best it’s a meandering labyrinth of unearned character motivations and events that make almost no sense to even hardened fans. You spend loads of missions getting Spider-Man powers and then it just sorta ends....
HBOhas just confirmed that it will be rebooting theHarry Potteruniverse into a decade-long television series, with seven seasons, one for each book. I can see a universe where this makes money, but I’m not sure it’s this one, with both the current entertainment climate and Rowling’s outspoken stance on trans rights. I’m not convinced this will ever happen (plenty of announced projects don’t get off the ground) but if it does, we should not be watching it....
I don’t know how long I’ve been collecting free stuff on the Epic Game Store, but it feels like forever. I don’t remember the last time I actually played any of the free games, and it might be never. In fact, the only reason I even open the Epic launcher is to add a free game to my library, then I log off and wait for the next batch of freebies before I come back a week later and do it all again....
