Octopath Traveler 2provides dozens of hours of fun if not hundreds. Eventually, though, you do have to finish the main eight stories. But, just because the main stories of the eight travelers are over, that doesn’t mean the game has ended. After beating each traveler’s final boss, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the world of Octopath Traveler 2.

There are plenty of things to find, achievements to earn, quests to complete, bosses to battle, and even a secret chapter to unlock. It may require a little extra work to finish everything, but it is absolutely worth it.

10Clear All Side Quests

With over 100 side quests in Octopath Traveler 2, this is a tall order, but it’s a completely viable way toenjoy the worldand experience every part of it. Some side quests will take you into the darkest dungeons, and others are more wholesome, requiring you to unite families again.

Depending on how you go about the game, you may even seedifferent endings for different quests. The best part is all of it istracked in your journal, so as long as you remember to talk to the quest giver when you find them, it’ll be hard to miss them.

9Max Out All Secondary Jobs

A great way to ensure that the travelers will always be in peak condition and ready for any fight is to max outevery secondary job they can access. This doesn’t mean they all have to have the same job equipped, but why not give every traveler access toevery available support skill?

Support skills like theConjurer’s SP Saverskill can make a huge impact in bigger fights, or even theCleric’s Rise Againcan keep your party alive and fighting for another day, especially when facing bosses that have one-hit-kill moves.

8Complete Every Dungeon

Dungeons are a great way to get loot in Octopath Traveler 2, and the bosses can provide a one-time fun challenge. Of course, if you’re over-leveled, crushing the boss is going to be a piece of cake, but there’s some joy in that, too.

There’s still a chance you can run into an unexpectedly dangerous boss, even for the Dungeon’s level, like theDeep One in the Ivory Ravine. No matter how highly leveled you are, one wrong step in the second phase and you’ll be seeing the death screen.

7Make The Townspeople Fight For You

There’s a secret achievement you can get calledOctopath Traveler…?after you manage torecruit four townspeopleinto your party. To obtain this achievement, you need to havePartitio, Agnea, Temenos, and Ochettein your party. Partitio to hire, Agnea to allure, Temenos to guide, and Ochette to befriend.

At that point, you might as well see just how much damage regular townspeople can wreck on some monsters and let the townspeople save you for a change of pace. They probably can’t take on a boss, but it’s worth trying.

6Finish Your Vinyl Collection

If you find every single Gramophone record in Octopath Traveler 2, you may get a secret achievement calledRecord Collection. Of course, to actually have this be an option, you need to completePartitio’s Scent of Commercein Winterbloom.

After the Gramophone has been purchased, you can find it in taverns all across the world, allowing you to pick yourfavorite song- once you’ve bought the record for it, of course. The records can be purchased from various areas, and some, like the ones you get from theWellgrove Department storein Partitio’s Chapter 3, rely on story completion.

5Find All Battle-Tested And Legendary Gear

Although you don’t get an achievement forfinding all Legendary Gear, you do have a claim to bragging rights and access to some of thestrongest weapons in the game. If you are after a weapons-based achievement, consider looking for all theBattle-Tested gearin the game.

Finding every Battle-Tested equipment will result in theBattle-Tested Gearachievement. There areseven different piecesof Battle-Tested Gear, one for each weapon type, all strewn worldwide. Although this isn’t a secret achievement, it is one step closer to claiming a completionist run in the game.

4Travel To Every Map Location

Become a true adventurer and venture toevery partof the East and West, uncovering every single nook and cranny in Octopath Traveler 2. Doing so will earn you the achievementMaster of Solistia. Admittedly, it’s going to be a hard achievement to get and is going to require that you have patience and time as you slowly maneuver your way through the world.

Doing so, however, will unveilhidden dungeons, give youaccess to itemsyou may have missed, and help youunlock skillsthat you didn’t know you could have access to, like the Merchant’s Hire Foreign Assassin skill.

3Finish All Four Crossed Paths Storylines

During the early stages of the game, you’ll gain access to the first part of theCrossed Paths storylines, and after beating all eight individual stories, you’ll gain access to the last part of the Crossed Path stories.

Each of the last parts has arecommended level of 45, making them the perfect way to round off your gameplay. Or, at least, round off some of the stories. The game is hardly over yet, and the Crossed Path storylinesmust be completedif you hope to accessthe final chapter.

2Defeat Galdera The Fallen

Galderais one of thesecret bossesyou can face in Octopath Traveler 2, reappearing from the end fight of the first game,Octopath Traveler. Galdera the Fallen is considered to be anoverwhelmingly difficultboss fight and has a lot of steps to even access the fight and unlock the gates to the Netherworld.

However, if you manage to beat Galdera, you can get the achievementGate to the Netherworld. Plus, you can also claim that you beat the hardest boss in the game, arguably even more difficult than the true boss.

1The Final Boss

Octopath Traveler 2 does have a true ending, and it requires beating the game’s trueFinal Boss, Vide the Wicked. Hinted at throughout most of the game, especially in Temenos' storyline, facing Vide should be your ultimate goal.

After completingall eight storylinesandall four Crossed Path storylines, you will gain access to the final chapter after visiting thecampsite on the Southern Cropdale Trail. Save in a different slot because after starting the final chapter, there is no escape until it’s over and one side is dead, be it the travelers or Vide.
