So, a villager just killed your dog inMinecraft. They didn’t mean to–it was really just an accident. They pushed the little block-faced canine off a cliff when you weren’t looking. You could seek revenge the old-fashioned way by developing your armaments until you can create a diamond sword to plunge into said villager’s back, but Reddit user blockboykpg had a somewhat more apocalyptic plan for vengeance.
“A villager killed my dog so I made a big mech to kill everything,” is the only explanationblockboykpggives in their Reddit post. We’ve seentransforming robots in Minecraft, but giant, walking robots? That’s a new one.

You’re probably wondering how someone managed to create a walking robot in Minecraft that’s over 60 blocks high. That’s because this isn’t vanilla Minecraft. Blockboykpg used the Create Mod to give Minecraft the functionality to walk. Create adds a number of functional pieces to Minecraft like pulleys, levers, and moving blocks that allow you to create everything from working trains to factory assembly lines.
If you look closely, however, you’ll note that this Pacific Rim-style Kaiju fighter isn’t really moving on its own. A little tug is pulling the robot forward, and a collection of “cogwheels and bearings” pulls the chassis forward. Having the tug move on a certain schedule makes the legs move at a slow, shuffling walk. Throw in some screen shake and a few sound effects, and you’ve got yourself a giant robot ready to enact revenge on an entire village rather than just the one offensive villager.
We haven’t yet seen blockboykpg’s robot crush an entire village, but we can assume it was absolute carnage that we probably can’t rebroadcast on this site anyway.
Speaking of carnage in Minecraft,Jason Mamoa is set to star in a live-action Minecraft filmcoming in April 2025. We know little about the movie other than it will feature the former Game of Thrones actor and it will focus on “a young girl and her group of unlikely adventurers.”
And in unlikely Minecraft news,a Minecraft Discord has been determined to be one of the earliest sourcesof top-secret US Department of Defense documents that were leaked recently. The documents revealed US intelligence on several allied nations such as South Korea and Israel, as well as a combat assessment of Ukrainian military forces between mid-February and early March.
And while you’d expect this sort of behavior from War Thunder, even Minecraft players can apparently get into an argument that can only be settled by classified military documents. The Discord, called “Minecraft Earth Map,” had several users arguing over the war in Ukraine when someone else came along and dropped “some leaked documents.” It’s believed those documents originated on another Discord server that has since been taken down.
