It’s safe to say that no small amount of the game’s popularity stems from its use of licensed Killers from well-known horror media like Halloween orResident Evil.

Each Killer comes with three perks, but often those perks tend to not only not work well together, but also aren’t true to how the Killers are in their original setting. Therefore, experimentation with builds is key. Here are some Killer builds that are not only lore-accurate, but also effective.
10Michael Myers - The Shape
A serial killer and the Shape of evil in the Halloween series of films, Michael Myers stalks his prey, finding them unaware and brutalizing them. In the films, he tends to save his sister Laurie for last, killing everyone around her first.
Play With Your Foodallows him to terrorize his true prey, only for him to let them escape, so he can chase another victim. WithSave The Best For Last,Michael becomes harder to escape as he slashes Survivors and his bloodlust builds.Fearmongerallows you to capitalize on the busy and inattentive. AndIron Grasp, well, when he gets his hands on somebody, they don’t tend to get away.
If you want the true Michael Myers experience however, you need to use the Scratched Mirror add-on which makes you permanently Undetectable and allows you to see through walls, letting you set up some truly movie-accurate ambushes.
9Bubba Sawyer (Leatherface) - The Cannibal
Bubba Sawyer, more commonly known as Leatherface, is the most famous member of the Sawyer clan of cannibals in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films. He’s a brute, whether it’s with a sledgehammer or his infamous chainsaw and unfailingly loyal to those he serves.

Sloppy Butcheris an apt name given the Sawyer’s diet. Through sheer strength, Bubba leaves lasting wounds.Franklin’s Demise, knocks away any held items from struck Survivors, since it’s hard to keep a grip when hit with such force.
Game Afootshows Bubba’s dedication to whatever force he serves– be it family or The Entity, making him quicker after acts of destruction.Agitationdoes something similar, with his eagerness to please spurring him to hook Survivors faster.
8Freddy Krueger - The Nightmare
Freddy Kruger is a child-murderer who got a lethal comeuppance from his victims’ parents, only to come back to kill again in the dream world during the events of A Nightmare on Elm Street. A god in the Dream World, able to bend reality in his domain to torture and murder his prey, The Entity has limited his abilities in its own realm.
Still, Freddy has some power, even here. He exercises control over the field withHex: Blood Favourwhich temporarily removes nearby pallets as a defensive option for Survivors andHex: Crowd Controlwhich limits the use of windows. Of course, he is possessive of his prey and would never let them go, going as far to bend the rules withRemember MeandNo Way Outto ensure Survivors never leave his nightmare.
7Amanda Young - The Pig
Amanda Young is ostensibly a disciple of Jigsaw in the SAW series of films, but she doesn’t seem to understand or believe in her mentor’s twisted form of redemption and as such is more a serial killer with a deathtrap gimmick.
Gearheadreflects her aptitude for mechanics and her inclination to keep an eye on anyone participating in her “tests”.Make Your Choicegives Survivors another false choice – one between heroism and selfishness, either of which lead to punishment.
The Pig loves a rigged game and withHex: Face The Darkness, she makes it so that Survivors are too busy screaming to remove their involuntary headwear. Of course, working with so many mechanical parts, she likely appreciates a good contingency, like the oneHex: Undyingprovides.
6The Demogorgon
The Demogorgon is a feral creature from the Upside Down, a dark, rotting mirror to our own world in the show Stranger Things.
The Demogorgon’s otherworldly origins cause it to have strange effects on electronics and mechanical devices, which is reflected withJolt.An animal fueled by bloodlust, it isUnrelenting, recovering from exertion quicker than most.Shadowbornrepresents its heightened animal senses and gives you a wider field of view. Having no eyes, it cannot be blinded, thusLightborn.
Pyramid Head is the manifestation of punishment and James Sunderland’s personal torturer in Silent Hill 2, formerly serving the forces of Silent Hill and now plying his grim trade for The Entity of DBD.
A tool of punishment,Whispersdirects him towards those who are to receive his ire, directed by The Entity instead of the Fog. His countenance and presence is so terrifying that Survivors cannot focus in his presence, suffering unsteady hands when healing (Coulrophobia) or repairing generators (Unnerving Presence).
Trail of Tormentallows him to seemingly vanish, giving him unnatural stealth giving his sheer size, similar to how he would surprise James with his sudden appearances.
4Nemesis T-Type - The Nemesis
The Nemesis is the single-minded and implacable pursuer from Resident Evil 3, originally programmed by Umbrella Corporation to hunt down members of STARS.
The originalLethal Pursuerof Resident Evil, Nemesis knows where his prey is and where they are going.EnduringandSpirit Furyensure that you can’t stop The Nemesis, only slow him down, and not by much, especially when the latter breaks pallets upon his meaty body.THWACK!reflects the T-Type’s ability to not only terrify his targets, but alsothe inevitability of him finding them.
A demon to some, angel to others The Cenobite, is the leader of extradimensional beings from a place of infinite pain and pleasure who come for those who solve the Lament Configuration in the Hellraiser series of films.
As a master sadist,Scourge Hook: Gift of Painapplies his “gift” in a manner that isn’t easy to shrug off. Being one of his most common tools, of course The Cenobite would have an affinity for hooks, andScourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine, makes Survivors succumb to the rapturous pain much quicker.
With his control over chains and other objects, he can turn any place into his domain, asThrilling Tremorsdoes whenever he picks up a Survivor. Even if they have momentary success,Claustrophobiablocks vaulting areas near completed generators in a manner similar to how The Cenobite would block off exits with his chains.
2Sadako Yamamura - The Onryo
Sadako Yamamura is a powerful psychic who controls electronics and a specter with a powerful grudge in the Ring series of books, movies, and TV shows. Her powers over electronics play havoc on generators.

Her undead state combined with her powers causes degradation withCall of Brine, whileOverchargecauses them to act with explosive unpredictability. WithNowhere to Hide, the generators become an extension of her senses, allowing her to track nearby Survivors.Oppressionis her rage reaching a peak, damaging more electronics in a larger area.
1Albert Wesker - The Mastermind
Albert Weskeris a scientist and Mastermind behind numerous plots in the Resident Evil series. This version, with his power over the Uroboros Virus and god complex, is from Resident Evil 5.
As a schemer and tactician,Lethal Pursuerallows him to keep tabs on his targets, all the easier to keep them under his thumb. WithStarstruck, Wesker revels in his god-like power and strikes down the fools in his way with impunity.The Mastermindtakes advantage of his superior genetics withAwakened Awareness, and uses the information gleaned to plan his next move.
Rancorreflects Wesker’s ability to keep informed, so he can update his machinations, but it also shows that his composure can be broken, with lethal results for his worst enemy, in this case the Obsession.
