With all of the spinoffs that Pokemon released, fans have arrived at the precipice where they see their favorite mons fighting it out in an arena scoring shots in a basketball battle bonanza.Pokemon Unitehas grown its repertoire with more Pokemon and counting, and it can get glaring to choose which one to main.

If you’re coming from the wildly popularLeague of Legends, thank Arceus, because some of the archetypes in that game can be found in Pokemon Unite. Whether you’re creating illusions or transforming into other forms, some of Unite’s conveniently slip into these archetypes, making it easy to say, “I choose you!”
10Venusaur - Lux
If you like spamming beams of light, Unite has a greener, cleaner, and renewable energy to source your powerful beams. Venusaur’s solar beam reaches far and wide in the relatively smaller map of Pokemon Unite, surprising your opponents from a distance, pretty much like Lux.
Venusaur can also hurl sludge into an area to reduce the enemies’ speed, like Lux’s Lucent Singularity. Charizard has had its time, Venusaur, like Lux, has to take on the spotlight as the poster child of Unite—time to give somelove to our green cabbage boy.

9Dragonite - Galio
“It’s a bird! It’s Galio! Oh, It’s Dragonite!” Both these big guys share the constant pressure throughout the game because no one would ever know when a big chunk of winged rock or a dragon would fall from the sky like a meteor. Their ability to fly and land almost anywhere on the map is threatening and convenient.

Like Galio, Dragonite’s pre-evolution can also whip up some strong gusts with Twister, and it can also charge with an extreme speed against an enemy and knock them up upon impact. At some point, these two chunky monsters might have crossed paths mid-air before impact.
8Comfey - Yumi
For players with attachment issues,Comfey is the right pick. Yumi has got to be one of the most annoying champs to go against. These two can easily attach to an ally and go AFK. But if they’re as cute as they are, it’s really difficult to get mad at them.
Superb healing and utility are the selling points of these two fluffballs (or ring, all shapes are valid). They can easily out-heal other support heroes with the edge of reducing damage on themselves by attaching. The downside is they’re both heavily reliant on their partner.

7Gardevoir - Neeko
A speedy opponent can easily escape any skillshots and dangerous zones. Neeko’s lockdown and burst combo is an effective remedy to pesky agile champions. Gardevoir can also match that catch with her stunning Moonblast and a follow-up Psyshock.

Both their ultimate moves are dazzling bursts in a circular area with additional stun and pulling effects to make excellent control mages. Speedsters and All-Rounders better shut Gardevoir down early because she can cause havoc from mid to late game.
6Garchomp - Rek’Sai
The same earth may have birthed Garchomp and Rek’sai. Stacking is their primary mode of dealing ferocious damage and sustaining themselves by choosing where to consume their stacks.Garchomp is great in extended duelswhere he can take advantage of his stacks.
Burrowing and executing a lunge attack is their main gimmick. However, while Rek’Sai can stay underground longer, Garchomp excels better above ground after dealing enormous damage upon its ascent from the soil. Garchomp and Rek’Sai players know how to make an intimidating entrance.

5Hoopa - Lulu
Recall how Hoopa brought in other legendaries in a single location through its hoops. In Unite, it need not do so because Hoopa possesses unique abilities from several League champs without bringing them in. But ultimately, its utility as a supporter makes it a perfect match for Lulu players.

Lulu’s little pixie helper is Hoopa’s trick. Hoopa can create a nexus between itself and another ally, granting shield and movement speed. Furthermore, it also doubles the Shadow Ball and auto-attack casts from itself and the ally. Hoopa Unbound is Lulu’s Wild Growth which causes the former to grow in size and increase maximum health.
4Decidueye - Ashe
Ashe andDecidueye are both great archers, but the comparison doesn’t end there. Ashe is a strong duelist who can dominate in short engagements; Decidueye, on the other hand, practically does the same but at a greater distance.
Decidueye’s long reach allows it to attack uncontested. Coupled with a built-in Runaan’s Hurricane, Decidueye’s Razor Leaves can adequately deal cleave damage against multiple foes. Like Ashe, Decidueye has abilities like Spirit Shackle and Nock Nock to zone out enemies.

3Snorlax - Braum
Slow, increase speed, dash, increase attack damage, sleep, regenerate—Snorlax seems to do a lot for a mon known for an eat-sleep habit. But if there’s one thing it shares with Braum, it is its ability to hold the line by blocking damage.
RELATED:Pokemon Unite Snorlax Build Guide
Their shared massive utility grants these two defenders a welcome niche in their respective games. If Snorlax isn’t busy taking a power nap, he’s out there slamming enemies off their feet, which Braum has a knack for doing with a daunting Glacial Fissure. Don’t let their gentle nature fool you, as it’s a scary sight when these two behemoths start charging toward you.
2Sableye - Cassiopeia
On one side are eyes that are so mystifying they petrify those who look directly; on the other are petrified gem-like eyes that are so blinding those who look directly get stunned and embarrassingly start packing to go home.
It’s no competition, but both Sableye and Cassiopeia’s stun in a conical area against those who dare gaze at their eyes, and they slow when enemies turn away from them. However, Cassiopeia’s serpentine speed and relentless attacks are replaced bySableye’s stealthy approachand obtuse mechanics.

1Gengar - Evelynn
Beware the unseen purple (dream) eater! Gengar and Evelynn possess this aura that pressures their enemies to be careful where they tread. A wrong step can lead you to an ambush coming from who knows where. Both these roguish predators thrive in the shadows.
As speedster-jungler, Gengar haunts the middle path and covertly ganks the map’s opposing sides, a role Evelynn is well known for. While Evelynn charms, Gengar primitively licks its opponent to draw them in before bursting them down.
