How To Defeat Monica

Now that you understand what attacks Monica performs, you’ll want to utilize a game plan to make each phase easier.

Form Two

Thefire spellworks best on this form. Just keep charging it anduse the explosionto deal tons of damage to Monica. You can also go with thecharged ice spellif you struggle to aim the attack.

You should mostly useice for this formsince it’ll dealgood damage without wasting Mana. Since you have a large target, you won’t have too many problems aiming and landing shots on her.

Charging Your Spells

You’ll want tocharge your spell between each attack. If Monica attempts to attack you during one of your charges, try tododge through the attackto finish charging it and restore your Mana.

You won’t charge your attacks for most of this battle. You’ll struggle to dodge Monica’s hard knockdown moves, so charging will justwaste your Mana. Instead, you should use basic spells to spend your Mana properly.

Dodging Attacks

Some of this form’s attacks will come in quick succession, so do your best tokeep your Stamina above 50 percent. It may sometimes drop, but this gives you a general guide to help you in a pinch.

You won’t have too many dodging problems while fighting the second form. You have a long enough wait between attacks torefill your Stamina.

Item Use

Only useone healing itemduring this battle since you’ll need more items during the second form. Don’t use any curse value items, or you’lllose some of the soul essenceyou get from this form if you lose against the next one.

You should usehealing, defense, mana, and AOE itemsduring this form. Since you’ll stay in the same general area during this battle, you can quickly heal yourself with an AOE item by dropping it. You also havelong wait times between attacks, giving you enough time to heal and prepare for the next attack.

Interrupting The Charged Attack

This doesn’t apply to the first form.

Monica has one attack where she’llcharge a fire orband slowly lift it over her head. Ensure you switch to your ice attack, shoot at her head non-stop andinterrupt the attack. If you don’t successfully break it, you must stand in the middle, wait for her to launch the attack, and dodge. If you interrupt the attack, Monica will be stunned for a bit. You should then swap to yourfire spell, charge a fireball, and launch it.

While these tips should help you during most of the match, you’ll need to pay attention to the boss andlearn its moves. Don’t worry if it takes a few attempts, since you’ll get better at the fight and learn the best strategies each time you lose.
