When it comes to these beings that stand at the pinnacle of strength, the artists made sure to give them artwork that exudes their power and expertise. Characters like Aatrox, Ryze, Kayle, and even new faces like Xolaani and Mihara all show their capabilities, striking fear into the hearts of many.

10Pouty Poro

Caravan Studio outdid themselves with this piece of artwork because the immediate response when you see this piece is “aww.” You can’t help but feel bad for the sickly puffball as it refuses to take the medicine that tastes disgusting, given how it sticks out its tongue childishly while looking away and swatting at the spoon that holds the purple liquid that is supposed to make it better.

If you pay closer attention, you may see that the poro has a bit of medicine on its tongue, indicating that this was an immediate response from getting a slight lick of the medicine.

9Deathless Knight

Befitting the nature of Ghostly apparations, we’re given an introspective look at the soldiers that take residence on the Shadow Isles, and they’re terrifying even to imagine. A group of centaur-like knights is running amok, creating chaos wherever they go, and they seem to be fighting off this corrupting plague of sorts, not disturbed at all by their faceless enemies.

They’re the ideal soldiers, running straight into danger without worrying about themselves. Concepts such as fear, the cold, or pain are imaginary theories to these four-legged warriors.

8Xolaani The Bloodweaver

Standing triumphantly as one of her enemies falls in battle, you can see the glee on Xolaani’s face as she witnesses another chance at gaining even more power. Splendidly showing the twisted nature of the character, Aron Elekes gives us a good glimpse of who and what Xolanni is as she stands with a jagged and almost demonic-like blade in hand that sends shivers down your spine.

As a special easter egg, Elekes even draws both Aatrox and Kayle facing against each other in the background, letting the audience know that everyone participating in the battle is utterly unaware of Xolaani’s plan and her next course of action.

7Evolved Kayle

Raining swords made of fire and light onto her enemies, Michal Ivan perfectly encompasses the entirety of Kayle’s character with her floating above her enemies, striking them down with a rain of weaponry.

We see floods of Darkin, unable to withstand the sheer power of Kayle and they can only cower as they await their immediate destruction, all the while, the Judicator herself shows no sign of remorse in her eyes. You’ll see an aspect of her personality that is focused, cold-hearted, and ready to do what is needed.

6Evolved Ryze

Claudiu-Antoniu Magherusan perfectly showcases the power and ability that Ryze has. We see Ryze holding out a runic stone that is giving an ominous and almost evil response to Ryze as he tries to extract power from it.

All the while, we see the tattoos on Ryze’s body glow brightly, and his eyes turn a ghostly white as he focuses entirely on his task at hand, completely unfazed by everything happening around him. It’s such a powerful piece of art as it shows Ryze’s determination and almost desperation to fulfill his goals.

5The Black Flame

Sacrificing an aspect of yourself to leave a shadow fits perfectly with Zed and his followers. The artwork in this card is foreboding and dangerous, and you can see the anguish in those participating in it, yet Zed stands there with his arms crossed, watching as if it’s something normal, with no worry in his physique whatsoever.

The foreboding nature of the altar doesn’t make you feel any more welcome, as there is a flight of stairs lit up by pots of flaming red fire that compliments the red leaves of the trees surrounding the landscape.

4Evolved Aatrox

The sheer horror that is Aatroxis fully shown in his evolved artwork. A mere swipe of his blade levels mountains and the undeterred and complacent look on his face shows us that this is only a fraction of his full potential. This artwork emphasizes the difference in size that Aatrox has compared to the others around him, as he towers over Ryze throwing Kayle and Xolaani by the power of his swing that sends them backward.

You can understand that Aatrox stands in a league of his own because he is facing off against multiple enemies, but there is no look of disdain or worry, emphasizing how confident he is with his power and skills.

3Mihira, Aspect Of Justice

Kudos Productions knows how to emphasize size and power within its artwork. The golden light from Mihira’s head, hiding the gigantic being’s face, plus the six wings and multiple arms, makes you understand that this artwork is taking notes from classic angelic drawings. The legion of divine servants flying around draws your attention. It makes you aware that this being is their leader and has countless servants at their disposal, thus showing us how dangerous Mihira is and the power within their hands.

The use of golden coloring and the positioning of the all-powerful angelic being makes you both respect and fear them, as you don’t know what they’re capable of. Still, we see one of them in control of an entire legion, making us aware that Mihira stands in a realm of their own.

2Void Gate

This artwork signifies the end of the world; that is the best way of explaining this scenario that Envar Studio has drawn for us. Countless void creatures litter the ground endlessly, and the spiraling purple tornado of doom doesn’t make you feel any more comfortable.

The fact that everything is taking place in a crater also adds to the terrifying nature of the Void, as we can see that the roots of the tree that hold the power of the Void is practically spreading throughout like an infection or plague, fitting within the invasion of the creatures as they’re nothing but a curse to the lands of Runeterra.

1Xolaani, Aspect’s Bane

The twisted nature of Xolaani is fully utilized and shown in this artwork by Kudos Production. After achieving more power, this ambitious creature has decided to wrap the entire world within her grasp. Others are incapable of stopping her as her chains seem to impale the earth and suck the life out of the planet itself.

Plus, the sheer size of Xolaani is gruesome to see, as she is so significant to the point where she blots out the sun and shadows the entire area, creating this sense of fear in your heart that makes you cower at whatever she has in store next.
