Insomniac Gameshas asked fans who are wondering when we’ll hear -Man 2to have a little bit more patience while it’s “in the kitchen”.
Even though Insomniac Games has already previously confirmed when we can expect Spider-Man 2 to launch, that hasn’t stopped it from being bombarded daily with questions from fans wondering when we’ll see it next. This has only gotten worse as we get further into the year and morerumours pop up of a September release date, leaving fans convinced that a gameplay reveal is just around the corner.

While we’re probably not too far away from that long-awaited gameplay trailer considering the Fall 2023 release window, some fans are getting a little sick of waiting and are asking Insomniac Games over on its Twitter account when we can expect to see more footage. This has been happening even before Spider-Man 2 was revealed, but has seemingly gotten worse recently as Insomniac has taken to replying to some of the comments.
Its responses range from sincere, with some comments simply reiterating the Fall 2023 release date to some that get a little weirder, likeInsomniac saying “You don’t exist"to a fan that was convinced that not seeing the sequel since the reveal trailer was a sign that it was never real to begin with.
Although the sarcastic and funny answers are great, the best comment (and the one that’s got the most attention) came when one fan asked Insomniac why it hasn’t shown off Spider-Man 2 in nearly two years, despite confirming a release date.In response, Insomniac said, “Because we’re in the kitchen. It smells good in there, but we just ask for a little more patience”.
Insomniac basically let loose with a “hollup, let us cook”, moment, and we love it for it. Thankfully, the tweet seems to have been positively received by the fanbase, getting close to 6,000 likes and a ton of positive responses from fans who don’t mind waiting a little bit longer to see what’s in store.
Sadly, as genuine as Insomniac Games was in that tweet, it doesn’t seem to have made too much of a difference. All you need to do is take a quick look at its most recent tweet, which is one sharing a Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores livestream, and you’ll see that there are already comments telling them to “stream Spider-Man 2 instead”.
